Casa Della Palma is a quiet and comfortable B&B ideally situated in the lively, central area of San Lorenzo close to Rome’s Sapienza University campus.

The establishment has recently been refurbished and offers guests a retreat from the bustle of Rome with its relaxing, green courtyard. The San Lorenzo neighbourhood is on the east side of the ancient walls and is an extremely popular hangout for Romans full of restaurants and bars.

Staff will be glad to offer you an introduction to Rome, a courtesy service with a map of the city centre, providing tips and advice on the main sights, public transport and the best places to eat and drink in the area. You can even get around town using the courtesy bikes provided.

Location, interiors, friendly staff, free internet connection. excellent introduction to Rome at the beginning of our stay; beautiful room, very good location (public transport, bars, restaurants, young people). Cosy hotel in a nice neighbourhood. Excellent staff. The heating was centralized and not very high. This is acceptable in Rome for most of the year, but during winter some more heating would be appreciated.

Casa della Palma is a conversion of a small villa from 1920. There is no elevator but most of the rooms are on the first floor. One is on the ground floor opening directly onto the green front courtyard. All the rooms are strictly non-smoking, smoking is permitted in the front courtyard.

Important information to guests

If 2 bed accommodation is required (no extra cost), please contact the staff immediately after booking. Beds are 200 cm long; please communicate if you need a longer one.

Guests are asked to provide information on their expected arrival time. An airport pick-up service is available upon request.

Information about the area

The area of San Lorenzo is nearby the central train station, but because of the Rome University campus, it has a very different and lively vibe and is a popular hang-out area for Romans.

Room information details

Every room is unique. The bed which will welcome you at night has been specially designed and made just for that room. None of the rooms is opening directly onto the street, so all of them are very quiet, opening either on the front courtyard or on a back one. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, all of them offer a sitting area when used as double. In triple or quadruple arranging the sitting area is moved away or converted in the extra needed bed. All rooms are equipped with a computer connected to the internet and also with wireless connection for your personal laptop.
