The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was very good - close enough to walk to the Spanish Steps and about 15 minutes to the Barberini subway station. It is just a bit away from the hectic touristy spots in Rome. The area was quiet.We only took public transit when we went to the Vatican we walked everywhere. On our last evening we ate at the restaurant next door Osteria Boncompagni - really great food. The only other people in the restaurant were Italians. The meal was the best .
all reviews » The Location was excellent for getting to the heart of Rome and a short walk to the rail station or bus system, or taxis. There were things to see and do as well as affordable eating places nearby. The breakfast was wonderful compared to what other hotels offered for breakfast. But the hotel staff was simply outstanding. I would definitely look forward to staying there the next time I visit Rome. Outsanding B&B hotel. You can order a transfer from\to airport (55 EUR). Rooms are very nice. Location is good. A small restorant is 5 meters from the hotel, 600 meters one of the famous enotheque in Rome. Breakfast is serving abed. And if a hotel management will change a breakfast adding something hot (eggs with bacon :-)), Boncompagni will become one of the most charming place in Rome. Thanks!. Great location in a quiet residential area. The staff and facilities at the Guest House were really great, including free wifi and Sky TV. Excellent location for visiting all the major tourist attractions. Also within walking distance of the main railway station. The room was lovely, a really spacious B&B. Extremely clean and nicely decorated. Elena was very friendly and helpful and it was a good place for day trips and Verona is amazing in itself. Smart, clean and excellent location at the foot of the Spanish Steps. Excellent roomy shower. Wi-fi included but signal weak. Staff speak minimal english but friendly nonetheless. Unfortunately the road outside our window had a big pothole which every bus or truck managed not to avoid, which meant it was a bit noisy at night. Air conditioning would have solved the problem as it was rather warm. It is extremely difficult to find this hotel. There is no signage! Upon arrival we were buzzed into building and then again no signage as to what floor. Thankfully only up one set of stairs. Our room (5) was next to breakfast room and if you wish to sleep in past 7:30am then this is not the room to stay in. Staff are not always available. Breakfast needs to be better - replace packaged croissants, serve real baguette instead of panini, add fruit & boiled egg. Shower needs updating. Include 1 liter complimentary water each day. Perfect. Thin walls- you can easily hear your neighbours. nothing. Almost there wasn't receptionist-not enough choices in breakfast-old and small elevator-bad entree for hotel. this was a very low end hotel. I did not expect it to be so basic, the downstairs lobby is filthy and badly in need of repair (crumbling concrete, uneven floor, etc) and the elevator was so old it was a joke. also the location was not convenient to see the sights one wants to see in Rome.
