  We were given a first-floor apartment with kitchenette and terrace from which we could watch the moon rise while dining. The swimming pool at the hotel was so comfortable and tempting that I could hardly leave the hotel for one of the nice surrounding beaches. We were even allowed to BBQ the fresh fish we bought in the market, as they provided all the equipment! - The hotel is very quiet and pleasant, even at mid-August. Envolving green area is great. Excellent swimming pool. "Mare Pinnetta" beach is just at one minute drive. Nightlife and restaurants at Pula (just 3Km away).

  Out of all the different options we had, we (3 friends) chose an apartment managed by Biriola Holiday - mainly because of the huge number of positive reviews. Communication with the manager, Matteo, was excellent and he was very friendly and helpful with everything - not to mention all the great insider tips he had for us! We were glad to be there in the low season, when Cala Gonone is almost empty (i.e. no tourists), - We traveled to Cala Gonone as a young couple and found Residence Biriola very easy to find. Upon arriving we were greeted by Bruno, the elder statesman of the residence, who was quite simply charming. He took us around, showed us the garden at the back and told us we could help ourselves to the fresh herbs and chillis.   Owner is very nice, speaks very good English. They upgraded our room for free :-) Room is nice, has fridge also. Swimming pool is nice. Supermarket is just in the other side of the road and they have a restaurant as well ( you can have dinner near swimming pool or at your terrace) - Helpfull staff, upgrade for free.
