It is actually a B&B. Hard to find because the entrance is an old door with a sign of Hotel Cavour, but nothing else. This is a fabulous little hotel with only 4 rooms. It is chic, stylish
and very well designed. The bedrooms are luxurious in a minimalist way
and the bathrooms very up to date. The owner is very friendly and
helpful and there is fresh coffee and cake on hand at all times. The

Masseria Cielogreco was a one night stay for us but we wished we could have stayed longer. This place is up a hill on a dirt road and it overlooks sloping fields that lead down to the sea. Superb, full of character country farm environment with magnificent uninterrupted views over rolling hills to huge sea vista without a house or road in sight. The palazzo is a grand old house tastefully decorated with a combination of modern touches with ancient splendour. It is located beside the wall of the hilltop historic centre and allows for views of the sea and the hills. There is room to park a car in safety. Breakfast is excellent but the best part of the stay is Guiseppe the host. He speaks excellent English, is passionate about Calabria and is a great source for information. He is friendly and welcoming and cooks great eggs.

Above all the service was probably the best we have ever experienced.
Sharon's thoughtfulness and attention to the small details were apparent everywhere. Even to the supplying of a wash line outside the bathroom window so that you could wash and dry clothes quickly. We used that a lot as we had been travelling in Italy for a week before we arrive

Sadly we stayed only one night had we known how lovely the room and the hosts were we most definitely would have stayed longer. This is a gem not to be missed. Best breakfast so far, lovely room and our hosts could not have done any more for us if they tried. Super city location we went to a super restaurant called La Lamia - not to be missed. Should we return here this is where we will stay for the duration of our break. Best wishes to the young owners they have got it right.
