The ambience of the hotel, set at the side of Lake Lugano. Our room on the first floor had a large terrace overlooking the lake. The female Romanian receptionist was brilliant and efficient. All the staff were friendly without familiarity and most helpful. The restaurant was terrific and the waiters really good, although they could not speak too much English, it was better than my Italian. Food excellent as were the wines.
