  I've been to Venice many times but never before managed to secure a reservation at the Pensione Accademia. As iconic in its class as the Cipriani or Danieli at the top end, it is famous for the charm of the staff, helpful and smiling service, perfection of the location, beautiful gardens with tables and chairs and even sunloungers, the generosity ... what people say » of the breakfasts and cicchieti offered with drinks, comfortable and well-provisioned rooms (a kettle! In Venice!!). I promise you, its all true! The - The best thing here is the receptionists. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Thank you very much Adriano and Massimo. There was no noise at all and I was able to sleep well. I don't know how it sounds in the holiday season, though. The hotel is not far away from St. Mark. You can walk or take take ?bus" to it. By "the bus" stop Academia is a small restaurant owned by a family from Tunisia. Amany was a great hostess there.

  The hotel is very well located. It is very close form the train station and a couple steps from the bus and taxi station. You can easily reach San Marco by foot and easily get back by boat.   This hotel was fantastic! Do not listen to all the negative reviews and just try the hotel for yourself. The room was lovely and clean, the staff were great and the breakfast was excellent.
