We were luckily enough to be given a "suite" room at a "sweet" cost! The location is superb, the coffee shops and gelatari near by are awesome. Strolling from the hotel to the Vatican or across to the river is perfect. We really enjoy the Hotel Veneto and loved its location and stayed there at the beginning of our trip. this visit was just for one night and we were in a room that should probably be renovated. this is a very good hotel with a great location and friendly staff...alessandro, veronika, and emanuele at the bar - great cocktail! expect quirks because this is a new hotel and some work still needs to be done; on my first day, there were guys carry fixtures in and out, dudes working on elevator.
the bed was very comfortable and pillows very cozy.
nice bathroom. great showerhead.
breakfast is quite big, with very good cakes and cornetto and such. eggs were pretty good.
