ROMANTIC! Husband & wife hosts Livio and Minea are so friendly and hospitable - you feel more like you're staying with family or friends than at a B&B. Livio is the chef and makes beautiful dinner - there is no set menu, rather the available options change from day to day depending on what produce he has available. all reviews » This is the most beautiful place my family and I have ever stayed. The staff was absolutely wonderful! Very helpful and very friendly. We stayed in room number 3, which was actually more like having your own cottage than your common hotel room. No tv or phone in the rooms which shouldnt be a problem for anyone because You are in Florence ! Get out and walk around. We arrived at the train station and took a cab to our room(€25). Once we arrived the staff told us about a bus route close by and fo. Very friendly staff. Good connection to the centre of Florence by bus (approximately 10 minutes walk to the village of Galluzzo and then ca. 20 minutes by bus to the station Santa Maria Novella). Buses go every 20 minutes. At the Fattoria you have the feeling of being right in the countryside, but the city is easy to reach. The village of Galluzzo itself has 3 pizzerie and some shops, so it's possible to spend the evening there, too. We actually found it great to escape the tourist masses in t. Fantastic hosts - Minea was wonderful and very friendly from the first minute, and helped us to book a great day tour of the Chiante region. Breakfast is plentiful and you are not left hungry. Internet wifi access is great. Rustic country room made the stay different to anywhere else we had stayed. Air conditioning a relief after hot days walking in Florence! Free covered parking made sure the car was cool when we got inside!. It was like being in a fairy tale, with that atmosphere i wouldn't have being surprised if I would see a prince with his white horse coming for her princess. We arrived early and they were kind enough to store our bags and even bring them to our room when the room was available. We stayed in one of the cottages which was very cute and perfect for us. Yes, there were mosquitos but when you choose to stay in the countryside in summer you should expect this and come prepared - they had bugspray and mosquito coils for the unprepared anyway! Everything was as we expected - THANK YOU Minea and Livio!!. Indications: it took us a while to understand where it is located. The window in the toilet was facing the street which access the "castle" and did not have a blind therefore we felt a bit of lack of privacy in the toilet but it wasnt a big issue. A pool in the garden and perhaps some more variety on the breakfast table (vegetables, eggs) would make the Fattoria a perfect getaway - but hey, nobody is perfect. No bottled water or mini-fridge in rooms. Well there is nothing to dislike. It was a perfect farm house and of course a very clean one. No complains!. I would advise renting a car. We had one which was perfect but may be a little harder without!. Nothing! Everything was nice!. Nothing. Nothing!. dinner price was not reasonable, bath was non clean. Was seriously bitten by bed bugs on the first night on all 4 limbs and neck, woke up every 2 hrs from the terrible itch. Found more than 10 crawling on the bed, pillows and walls in the morning, half were big fat with probably my blood when i killed it.
