Michele (the owner) is really nice and gives you a lot of useful
advices. On our last day he even drove us to the airport. He is really
trying his best to accommodate you (E.G. printing us vouchers for car
rental, recommending restaurants and trips, etc.).
Rooms are really nice, comfortable and clean. Before coming to Alghero I was a bit afraid about the comments of other guest about dogs barking all night and this was never the case in our 10-days stay.

Il Sogno is in a stunning location, very peaceful, with lovely accommodation and a beautiful pool area. Alessandro is a mine of information and will advise on the best beaches and places to eat - and his wife will bake you the most beautiful cake and bread! Wonderful hosts and wonderful location, what more could you ask for!! I would recommend to anybody looking for a beautiful retreat in the countryside with a quick car journey into Alghero town.

We stayed for only 2 nights but I would choose this place again. In spite of proximity to the beach and old city center you dont feel like living on Khao San. You are staying in Italy among Italians but still close to POI. Room is quite big, clean and street not noisy. Even though they don't have 24 hour service no problem with late and delayed arrival like ours at 2 am. WiFi working well.

Well equipped and furnished spotlessly clean room in a secure and secluded environment just on the outskirts of Alghero. As well as a full size fridge in the room there was also a patio table and chairs to sit out in the beautiful surroundings of the working olive grove in which the accomodation is sited. The staff were very helpful, although they did not speak any English they made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms and hotel in general was very tidy and clean and comfortable to stay in. The breakfast was as stated (continental), however it did have a good selection of choices and filled of up until mid-afternoon. Overall, was a lovely place to stay and my partner and I would go back there if we ever were in Alghero again.

Lovely apartment with 2 balconies - one facing the street with partial sea view off the lounge and the balcony off the bedroom faced the pool and had a sea view. The beds were comfortable and we had extra blankets for the nippy nights (we went in early May). Location is a nice 20 minute walk from the old town and there is a beautiful prominade all the way. Loved Alghero and LOVED Residence Picalé.

Seriously, the nicest and most helpful hotel personnel I've experienced for a long time. They did everything to make our stay perfect. The hotel is right on the waterfront, with a small stone swimming and sunbathing area around 40 meters away, and the walk into the historic town centre is about 5 minutes. The sandy beaches in Alghero are on the other side of town - a little under half an hour's walk, but the hotel does rent out bicycles to make things easier. They also lent us beach towels free
