Friendly staff. Clean room with lovely views (of park and beach). Excellent breakfast with wide range of foods. Within easy reach of both beach and old town. Very suitable for our 4-month old baby. The hotel will provide a cot for 11 euros extra a night, and the staff will coo over the baby! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for everyone. Noticed a few airline staff using it, and feel that they must know their hotels!.
all reviews » The hotel has a great location, right in the centre of town and i'd say it's the biggest building in the town and painted in traditional Sardinian colours you won't get lost! great views of the port, hotel staff were very helpfull and spoke good english. They did not have a high chair for the baby in the restaurant!. On two occasions i noticed someones lips imprinted on the mirror in the escalator.Had to go downstairs for a coffee after the meal! Meal in Hotel was only ok!. Not really, although i would maybe suggest that the breakfast was a little low on choices.....cereal, yoghurt, croissant, cheese, salami, ham. Tasty but limited. Very strange the hotel issued a printed page to say you are not allowed to iron in the room due to safety reasons!!!!. Hotel interior was very dated - felt like a time warp. The bathroom wasa bit old as well, although clean.Overpriced, not really 4 star.Breakfast was not so good. Bar is very small. Lack of English speaking TV channels. breakfast poor with very limited choice. Not 4* but ok 3* No swimming pool - no internet, reception staff said it "was broken". Breakfast very poor with only 2 cereals, muesli and cornflakes provided. 3 day Medical conference held in reception making area chaotic. No entertainment whatsoever in hotel. Bar/coffee shop a joke. Staff could have been more friendly and helpful as it was a quiet time of the year to be in Alghero.poor quality for 4 star hotel. This is not in my opinion a four star hotel. The bathroom was particularly shabby and in need of attention.Old fashioned, no facilities in hotel, decor, expensive. Interior Decoration old and needs a revamp - would not consider this a three/four star hotel - Also, heating in room did not work.
