Its location is ideal for any visitor to Galway, only yards from the train station. hotel is in very good location. Very convenient location. excellent breakfast. was expecting it to be not so good after reading some reviews but found it the oppisite we had a great weekend breakfast was lovely we had a meal on valentines night and it was fabulous from the starter to the main to the desert we gave our compliments to the chef couldn't believe how nice it was and for free included in our price rooms were basic but comfortable over all the hotel was a great... I was very pleased with the staff both at the front desk, the pub and restaurant. They were very friendly and helpful.Location was great. Breakfast abundant. Hotel was adequately staffed and they were helpful. Clean and quiet. Nice hotel, great location, staff were lovely, particularly the barman. Would stay again. Big bathroom and bath tub. I was not happy with the night club below my room that kept me up until 3:30am.Pub right below hotel. Even on a Monday night there was a singer performing until midnight. Very loud. It could be a bit noisy at night as the bar etc could be heard in room in which I stayed this time. Had stayed previoulsy and noise was not an issue.the fact breakfast finishe at 10!. very loud noise from club located in the basement. we were on the 3rd floor and could easily hear the music. The room also smelled bad. Smelled like gas coming from the pipes. Lastly, you are right next to a bus station which begins announcing departures via loudspeaker at a very early hour.noise from street in the early morning. bar price tends to change!!. found it a bit expensive for the standard. as we were five adults we would have liked to have got a room at the other end of the hotel, due to the noise levels coming up from the main street. The stairwells where very drab and could do with a makeover. The room was quite cold. I couldnt get to sleep either with the noise of the nightclub downstairs. Even though I was on the top floor, it sounded as if the noise was coming from next door because it was so loud.No leisure facilities, room was small and hotels in Galway are generally not great value for money. our room was on the 3rd floor but still very noisy from the night club. food was very nice but the service was very slow, mens toilets very dirty. Bar and dining areas were very dirty to filthy. Bar floor was stickyfrom spillages the night before and this was at 2.30pm the next day andit carried on into dining area.Except for this the hotel was good. very noisy. no car park and especially for someone who has a disabled parking disc. you have to park down the street and walk to hotel. No ironing facilities. Staff were a little unhelpfull at times. Noise outside bedroom window very early in the morning, very annoyingwhen you are away for a restful weekend break. Noisy disco downstairs until 1.00am. Very loud despite being on the 4th Floor. Good clean bathroom - and good towels - however the other furnishingswere rather shabby - don't like blankets. Staying in Ireland I wouldhave hoped tohear one irish accent during my stay. The noise from thenightclub and bar - although loud - were not too much of a bother as Ihad been warned - maybe the warning should be rather bigger..... I found the staff to be unfriendly and not very helpful.
