In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guest house features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.
Located near St Stephen’s Green, Albany House is a fully non-smoking and privately owned residence. It's just a 5-minute walk from Dublin's main shopping street, Grafton Street, or the main entertainment district of Temple Bar.
As there is not lift in the property, all rooms are accessed by stairs only, and each en suite room comes with cable TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. There is a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the building.
A full continental breakfast is served each morning and there is a wide variety of bars and restaurants within a short walk. Guests can choose from a selection of continental options, served in the Albany's breakfast room.

The room was amazing! It was large and comfortable; looked like it had just been renovated. It was very modern and clean. Our room was in the front of the hotel so we got some street noise, but it wasn't anything too obnoxious. The hotel staff were very friendly and more than willing to help with questions, directions, or just calling a cab. The breakfast was good too. The receptionist was amazing, so friendly and welcoming; hotel was in aquiet neighbourhood, not too far from Temple Bar; breakfast was good. all reviews »
location, although there is no parking, we parked at the royal college of surgeons their fee from 5pm-11am was only €5, and was a very short walk. Spacious well furnished room, newly refurbished luxurious bathroom, courteous staff, excellent homebaked bread and fresh fruit at breakfast.good size room, very clean, lovely staff and the best continental breakfast you can get in Dublin.good location. You hotel provided an extra cot when we arrived.Breakfast !. The receptionist- Lovely woman. Spacious room. Friendly staff. Fresh fruit salad and soda bread for breakfast This was the second time I stayed here and I would do so again. It was very close to the city centre so I could walk everywhere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were particularly friendly and the hotel was in a perfect position for us.good location. Location!. The hotel staff is excellent !!! And thelocation is perfect - close to everything. general quiet( no late night entertainment),attractive decor, good bread and breakfast(some hot dishes would be welcome)convenient location. Very friendly helpful reception and night staff, lovely breakfast atmosphere and staff. walking distance to all the shops. The room was nice and quiet there were no disruptions from other guests or outside noises. The staff were very helpful. The location was fantastic. Beautiful Facility Close to attractions. The help from the Reception staff, and the promptness of housekeeping each morning. Friendly atmosphere / proximity to city centre /quality of breakfast. Old feel, proximity to town, staff and comfort. Good breakfast. Great location, good atmosphere, good staff, good breakfast. Good Location. the location's great, although central quiet at night, good breakfast. I like the fact that it was possible to get breakfast from 7.30 am. Nice high ceilings and modern bathroom. Friendly staff.Nice high ceilings in room. Staff friendly and helpful. The location, the room was nice and comfortable. The bedroom and bathroom was excellent. convenience, cleanliness and comfort. Room size and location. Convenient location. Everything was ok. Good contiental breakfast served from 7.30 am. closeness to centre. The staff were a delight. friendly and helpful as a group but particularly with the reception staff. The staff was most helpful and the breakfast was good. It was so near the city centre. great city centre location. location. Central location. No real complaints. If you stay here, request a room above the basement. Ours was down there which isn't bad except that we were under the breakfast room so we heard chairs scraping and tables moving early in the morning.not enough supply of hot water. Lack of a small bar.No lift so not suitable for my elderly parents (this is stated on the website). It was very hot!. Would have been nice if there were a lift. The noise from the club along the same road was the only bad point for the hotel, from 1am until about 4am it drove us barmy, such a shame, I would try to look for a quieter street if I went again. The room became very stuffy and I turned off the heating but I would like to have opened a window to let in some fresh air but the window was broken and could not be opened. Still undergoing renovations but there was very little intrusion to the guests so it was not really a problem or factor to my stay.inconsistency in standard of rooms despite same tariff. Guests have to use their card to access electricity but staff did not mention this on check in. Room was plain and no trimmings. At weekend nigt it was quite noisy at the street. Breakfast was poor. Not enough hot water sometimes... no public computer for internet use. The breakfast (not enough local foods), the noise due to renovations (I should have been warned..) and not enough TV channels (international). No Bar and no Irish breakfast.Noise outside. only continental breakfast. There seemed to be a lot of decoration or repair work going on in the hotel which was slightly disconcerting. I thought it was expensive for what it provided. The lighting in our room was poor and the lack of tissues and ample sized bars of soap were drawbacks. Our room was not the biggest on the planet and there were workmen in the room above us making quite a noise during the day. no parking, ended up being clamped. no parkingstreet noise. Furnishings and decor throughout the hotel are very tired and slightly shabby. The room was very small and drab and the bedding was old and worn and had holes in it.No staff, no bar, no nothing only a small reception area. Very old and smelly. Value for money was a disgrace.
