A tropical paradise - true to its name - it really is hidden away from noise and stress, right on the beach and set amid beautiful gardens and a lovely pool yet still close to the village. The well designed bugalows are unique and beautiful. Bathrooms best ever. Great staff, always friendly and helpful went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. Could not ask for more. Great food, the dining room looks right onto the beach. A wonderful holiday location - looking forward to returning soon.

We thought that we had booked a cottage with two rooms - but alas it was two cottages -the staff were very helpful and let us choose to stay in one cottage ( 2 king size singles) and cancel the other cottage - thanks for being so helpful I loved being at the beach in a fishing village - taking photos of the fishing boats was great - snorkelling was also great -lots of fish species. Quiet place comfortable cottages (great bathroom, open air) clean and clear water,big local reef for optimal snorkling and diving trips black sand at the beach but no stones good food, more expensive than outside area but worth of it. No TV and no telefone makes it even more relaxing. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Relaxing athmosfere. The nature and road across thart part of the Island is of very low tourist, but worthwhile to explore with a car. The design of the hotel is really lovely and fantastic, I enjoyed those trees, flowers, and beach view. Food was great at the hotel restuarant though pricy. Welcoming staff. Nice open bathroom. I think it could be one of the few real beaches on Bali (you can really swim there). Absolutely black sand. Plenty of small and nice cafes in 5 minutes. Clean and large bungalows. The fabulous location. Right on the beach - with mountain the background. Waking up to roosters and chanting from temples. Beautiful corals in front of the hotel. We went to dive and amed is perfect for that. So that s what we did the whole week. The location on the beach and the lovely gardens and pool. The cottages were ok, bathroom was semi outdoor which didn't really help with keeping the mosquitos out. Staff was friendly. Sharing how beautiful it really was in case there are no vacancies when we plan to return in September. To much people who wants to sell anything, often disturbed by them. Not much facilities on the beach. Sun goes down quickly, so this is not the ultime beachspot. The tv in the TV room didn't work for me and there were no movies in that room. Dining in the restuarant was expensive. It was a bit noisy because of the construction going on near our cottage. Really quite please could be a problem for ones loving active holidays. But there are low range dive center in walking distance. Slow room service (3 guys cleaning the romm in 15 minutes). Extra bed means matters on the floor. Nothing!. Sadly at times water was polluted with plastic waste.Breakfast just average. Air-condition not large enough( high ceilings) should have some ceiling fans. Staff doesn't speak much English. Don't try the massage from the ladies hanging around.Everybody can do better.Not much for vegetarians. Nothing. The little town is nice but not a lot to do beside diving.The first atm machine was 10 km away from us. The account was 400.000 Iph over what letsbookhotel.com had quoted. We pointed out it was incorrect, but the staff insisted it was correct. It took us 5 - 10 minutes to get them to admit it was incorrect and refund us. too expensive for what you get. Pool was small and not clean at all. Beach was small and not very attractive. Breakfast was poor and the prices in the restaurant were above average. Also the location was not ideal as it is located 8km from Amed.
