  This pension was fabulous! The facility is beautiful, impeccably clean, in a wonderful setting and with a friendly helpful staff. The restaurant was wonderful. We ate on the terrace under a trellis of grape vines. Prices are a bargain- our dinner wine and shared dessert for three 36 euros. Oh - The size of our 2 person suite was great and we were pleased that there was a small kitchenette in the room, this was half separated from the bedroom which is handy with little ones. We had a decent sized private outside area off our room that would have been lovely if the weather was warm enough! The hotel is situated right next to the valley which is perfect for wine tasting.

Breakfast (typical buffet for Hungarian hotels) was in the Panorama Hotel run by the owners, just down the street.   Located on the hilltop in a nice quiet residential area just behind the town centre. Our room was right at the top and had a lovely view of the nearby mountains. The host/owner of the hotel was extremely friendly, helpful and one of the most pleasant we've met in a Hungarian hotel. Panorama Hotel is home -like, very friendly and comfortable pensione type accomodation. My room was huge, with a balcony.   I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Ferienhaus Apartmanház Zalánki in Eger, Hungary. Eger, a city of 57, 000 people, abounds with historical and natural attractions. The host is a charming gentleman who speaks perfect English and serves you wine from his own vineyard which is very good. Apt has everything you could need and lots of room. I hated to leave and would love to return.
