Excellent hotel. Best quality / price ratio. A bit far from the subway, but near the bus stops. If there are any difficulties octopus cards when traveling around the city. Station CENTRAL 20-25min. From 7.30-9.00 morning and evening you can stand up in a traffic jam further 15 minutes. The staff is very responsive. The rooms are clean, comfortable, safe, kettle, hairdryer, complimentary tea and coffee. The rooms are better to take up the 28th floor - is a good overview. One word of advice to ta.
all reviews » The restaurant was unusually good for a hotel restaurant. Service was impeccbable. The room was lovely, well appointed and very comfortable. The lobby and restaurant well decorated beautifully - I felt like was living under the sea. I liked the free shuttle to the MTR. Very professional and extremely friendly staff. But I had a young colleague with me who was on his first trip to China and Hong Kong. I wanted to show him Aberdeen, so we would have gone there anyway. When I saw the great rate for your hotel, I decided to try it. I would stay there again, but it would not be my first choice for a one-night layover, normally. Only one minor point, the Shuttle bus is ver popular, so be prepared for it be full, so queue early or be prepared to catch a taxi (which are not that expensive). This problem won't be an issue when the new MTR station opposite the hotel opens soon.i. Lack of food/shopping outlets nearby. To get food you have to travel to Aberdeen. Buses run regularly at a nearby bus stop, but it can be quite scary walking back to the hotel at night because the hotel is located in the industrial area so it can quite at night. It was way out of the way. Most taxi drivers didn't know where it was. Its a long drive to the city, costs HK$ 250 - 350 every time. Although they have a free shuttle to the metro which takes about 30 mins and its there every 30 minutes. No other food options right outside the hotel, limited to the hotel's cafe. Check in staff lacking knowledge / professionalism Breakfast food average / very basic and limited choice. The hotel is a little bit off the beaten track, if you can't get organised to take the free shuttle bus provided by the hotel you will be a bit stuck as there is no MTR station nearby (currently being built), however we discovered that you can take the number 75 bus to Central for $4.70HKD. Breakfast was not included in the room price, and was a little bit too expensive for what it was. Dinner buffet closes at 9.30pm sharp. Unfortunately the pool was under maintenance when we were there and the kids were not able to go for a swim. extra bed should be included in the tariff. beds aren't that big to fit a child. Location for a Hong Kong. It is a little far away... The cost of using the internet and printer was exorbitant - $5 Hong Kong per page. Wifi didn't work very well. Restaurant menu did not really cater for children. Not much really. Didn't expect the hotel to locate in industrial center. It's quite different from what is shown on the website. Luckily it's close to the ocean park. The beds were too small!. Too far frm train station..bus ride took almost 25min one way...not convenient to go shopping.. Nothing. I was very satizfied. Just the location wasn't the greatest. Smell of smoke in my non smoking room. Room could have been given earlier than stated position of 2 pm, although I was aware of the Hotel policy of 2 pm check in. Pool closed for maintenance. Price of food and drinks. Staff changed the menu on specials as it suited them. Noise late at night in nearby room. Frequency of shuttle bus to town like causeway bay n wan chai. Location is not ideal (unless you are going to Ocean Park or have business in the surrounding area). Old and run-down industrial district with no tourist conveniences. Traffic is terrible due to new mtr construction site. Always the same food at breakfast buffet, no variety. The bell hop was rude when I asked him if the bus had already passed through. There is no local eateries at the hotel nearby. We either have to eat at the hotel's cafe or go outside restaurants by car which will take about 15 plus minutes distance to get to. Also I considered the hotel's cleanliness is not up to what 4 star hotel expectation. The workers only clean the floors on the passage way inside the room. They did not clean the dust under the work table or luggage floor underneath. As I am allergic to dust. It did give me a hard time to stay. I think there is need to provide more variety on the choice of channels on TV, like CNN. Location of the Hotel, a bit far from Major Shopping and Business Area.
