  Helpful, friendly staff and the pick up service from the ferry really helped. The staff gave good recommendations on places to visit, helped with car rental, drinking water, and walking to town. Altogether a good place to stay.

  Mr. Sigalas is a wonderful host! He picked us up at the port and drove us to the villa. He had us laughing and feeling like we were part of the family. His two daughters run the reception and they will arrange anything you need. They were able to set up rental cars, restaurant reservations, boat trips, whatever. They had only been open for 2 years when we stayed there, and Mr S - I liked everything. I have been to Santorini before and the overall standard of accommodation is high at every price level. It is highly competitive too. What makes the Sigal stick out is the unassuming nature of your hosts, all members of the same lovely family who are always cheerful and overtly helpful without straying into the poncey attendant type operation that Santorini seems to have sprouted in abundance. The hotel is exactly in the right place of Oia - the most charming part of the town, a few steps away from the observatory where everybody else will run to to watch the sunset.
