The staff of Mesotopos Hotel was amazing: they treat us as we were at home. Flora, the owner, and the receptionist always took care of us and always trying we got everything. It's very nice that the hotel is not in the middle of Fira -notice: in summer Fira gets very very very crowded and it is stressing and exhausting, so staying in Mesotopos you are very very close to Fira but at the same time you get a place where you can relax. all reviews » A wonderful stay at Santorini Mesotopos! Everything was perfect and so did the stuff, who were always helpful and friendly. The hostess picked us up from the port even though I forgot to tell her which ferry we took. So here is one tip for other customers: you'd better inform the hotel which vessel you take, departure port and time if you want the pick up service, then she could wait for you at the port. The room we stayed is very big and has a lovely loft. You have beautiful view in the balcon. We are 4 Malaysian friends who just got back from Santorini, and Santorini Mesatopos was our last stop there! The maisonette was lovely; for a group of four it felt homey and cosy. Flora (the manager) made sure we had extra blankets and was always on hand to help us with such tasks as ringing up a taxi to send us to Fira, calling up ferry agencies to see if they would be operating (it was windy season when we were there), and offering to send off our postcards as we left Santorini!. Immediately walking onto the property, I fell in love with the layout of the rooms surrounding the pool and patio, the view from the poolside was to die for, absolutely amazing! It was exactly what I had envisioned and more. It was out of the way of traffic and the surrounding grounds were amazing as we could see that they grow tomatoes, grapes, etc. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!. We like everything ! Confortable, quiet, relaxing location with good view, not far from downtown but strategic between aiport and port. Wonderful hospitality: they provide you everything you need at competitive prices as transportation from/to port and airport, bikes and car rent; even in crowded season. The people who worked there were very helpful and friendly. Setting us up with an atv for rent which was great to see the whole island of santorini. They set up a surprise for my girlfriends birthday and overall really wanted to help us enjoy our stay in Santorini. Very Nice and helpful staff(Flora and her daugther Konstantina are very sweet and arrange transfers,car rental and indicate the best spots at the Island) The location is very good,close to Fira center(3 min by car) The pool is Beautiful and has a Nice View. The site is stunning. the place is immaculate. The staff was so helpful and always with a smile!. The pool area and use of motor scooter. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the rooms were very spacious and clean. It is out a bit from Fira which is great if you are renting a car or 4 wheeler. The cab to Fira is only 6 euros. A bit of a walk and maybe not a good idea as the highway is busy with buses and little area to walk. The owner is very helpful. This is a studio apartment style place. There are no phones on the rooms and the walls are thin to the next room. The tv is old and has few channels. Pool is nice!. The WIFI became unstable at night. The pool wasn't filled so we can't review this part (it was off-peak season) It was further from Fira than we expected (about 8 minute cab ride/EUR8 one way) The sea view would require walking out of Mesotopos to see the volcano and caldera OR a very clear day to see the sea on the other side. Nothing!. The lack of fruit and some kind of cheese or ham in the breakfast The shower(the curtains didn't close so the floor got all wet). Our room was a bit small for us, and the facilities in it were fairly basic but that is reflected in the cost, so no complaints. The upper floor bedroom area is a little low and can lead to a few head bumps. Really nothing. Although they are on a very good location but some time we miss the crossing to reach their hotel site. Not to blame them as we were in hurry in night. May be a good idea to put a board on the main road indicating their direction. slightly outdated & wifi was slow. That we had to leave. Be warned that the hotel is 3km from Fira. Wifi is dodgy. one day stay did not see anything negative. Lack of hot water in the morning. Towel exchange not frequent enough. Shower head should be mounted on the wall. self catering facilities were a lot to be desired. The location was not fira. It's close to, but when we booked we thought it was in Fira.
