The location in the Plaka is excellent, and the view of the acropolis from the restaurant is spectacular. This is a beautiful hotel, and the prices are very good in view of the location and the quality of the hotel. The staff were professional and helpful, and the services were very good. They also have a really good buffet breakfast. Elegant hotel, located in the perfect portion of Athens, a short walk to all main attractions, with a very professional staff. The new 5th floor restaurant offers one of the most stunning view of the Acropolis in Athens, and the food and service were excellent.

There was no chance to turn down the heaters or crack open a window, since we were in a suite and had sliding glass doors. Heater worked fine- air conditioning???. No breakfast because we had to leave early. i liked everything. The bathroom was a little small, and the breakfasts a little ordinary, for a five star hotel - but maybe that is to be expected in such a prime city centre location. There were problems with the lifts which did not appear to be being dealt with.We had an unfortunate experience in the Bar - which was resolved.However there was no bar service by the pool which was annoying and the downstairs pool and facilities were closed for two days during our stay. The 8pm closing of the internal spa / training facilities.The room I had was quite small and very overheated. There was no facility to turn the heating down and opening the window made no difference. Did not like being told on arrival that my room was not available and | needed to go to another hotel. However it was dealt with effectively and did not cause me offence.Msn. There was no ironing board or laundry facilities. The service in the bar on the one occasion I used it was terrible. High priced.unfortunately they don't let you iron in the rooms and the laundry service didnt have time to iron things for us. The fact that some people smoked in the breakfast room (it as not clear that smoking was permitted, but staff made no attempt to stop the smoking). high step into shower, bath. The spa center on -1 floor is a bit outdated. No free wireless internet!. The gourmet restaurent was poor service, inadequate portions and overpriced. Geeting to the hotel by cat/taxi is a bit problematic (located in a narrow st. inside the plaka area). The room view was terible without any privecy from near buildings since it was a rear room. Room location (entrance next to room service and balcony facing a school, as you can imagine we had noise coming from both sides). Air condition is turned off. you can only use the heater.Rooms were uncomfortably warm, inspite of setting the temperature to its lowest. The bed was soft. The garbage trucks and garbage disposal woke me up every morning before sunrise. The quality was not what I would consider luxury - maybe three star hotel - based on american standards. . The restaurant was dissapointing (what restaurant with a stunning view isn't ;) ) and they just didn't seem to get it that keeping the pool club fresh by regularly removing empty beverage vessels and not leaving the towel shelf emptied makes for good impressions. Instead, such service was tardy as all heck, leaving the pool area looking rather messy if not down right dingy at times. The desk staff was efficient but rather cold.
