The hotel was located very centrally. The room was large and overlooked a pedestrian-only shopping area. Most of the local attractions, shopping, and the Christmas Markets were within walking distance of the hotel. A very nice hotel. We plan on staying there again next time we are in Trier.Excellent location, helpful staff, good choice for breakfast.

The front of the hotel is on a pedestrian walkway so. Cleaning of the pedestrian zone just outside the hotel - sweeping/washing - starts at 4am and could be quite disturbing in hot weather with the windows open. This is not the hotel's fault.Lack of international TV stations. There were only German channels, which for a non German speaker is not a good thing.Arrived on the Thursday as planned and booked last November 2007, the hotel , was not aware of our Booking !!! We were allocated a room for two nights and moved for the third .Feel hot without fan at the room in summer.weather was warm, there was a choice of no covers for the bed or a heavy duvet. a lighter coverlet or just a sheet would have been nice.
