We had a great stay! My husband, myself and our two year-old arrived on
a Friday evening and stayed until Sunday. The double room was a
wonderful size, especially for a European hotel. We had our daughter
sleep in the couch, which could easily fit a smaller adult. (Not sure
about the comfort of it.) Our bed was great. The bathroom was a very
good size and the shower, although small had doors and wasn't just
opened to the rest of the room. The staff was helpful and the breakfast
was good, nothin. all reviews
We had a room for 4 (2 couples) for one night. Pension rooms are above a bakery but there is a separate entrance at side of building so it is not necessary to walk through the business. Room size was good, beds clean and comfortable. A great rate for the room at his location in the Alstadt. Breakfast was included.
Hotel Frei offers convenience and comfort within the walls of an
incredibly preserved medieval city. The hosts were lovely and provided a
tasty buffet breakfast; desserts in the confectionary are irresistible.
The convenience and the comfort of the rooms were wonderful. We were a family of 10, grandparents, older children with their young children. The staff was so kind and really helpful to our varied needs!.

The location was excellent for walking around town. The staff was very friendly and spoke good English. The family room was very spacious and very clean. They also had parking.
The Frei's were wonderful. They greeted us at the door to show us
where to park and showed us to out room. There is a wonderful Cafe
downstairs with amazing cakes and coffee.

Proximity to sight seeing. Very good breakfast. We were accommodated in having our room changed to the first floor as we had heavy suitcases and there was no one to help carry them.
The apartment was huge and had a full kitchen including a washing machine. It was located right above a nice café and within the walls of the city.

Our room was on the first floor and we could hear people outside walking
by or the cars driving. This was fun for our daughter during the day
when we took a break from touring. She could hear and watch the horses
go by, however at night it was a bit loud. But didn't wake us up.
Like many small European hotels in mid-July, the rooms are uncomfortably
warm and a fan would have been appreciated.
The shower was a bit awkward since the shower head would not stay up.
Like all of the German pillows, a bit uncomfortable, but that is just
personal taste.
We had a difficult time keeping our room warm even with the heater on its highest setting. This was only a minor inconvenience which a few blankets fixed.
THE CAKES !!! We're going to have to do a lot of slimming.
