Breakfast was included in the price and was a great treat. Many tasty pastries, meats, and cheeses, coffees and espresso. Rosie was especially helpful with dining and shopping suggestions and directions. The hotel was in a charming area with many local bars and restaurants and a short walk to Marienplatz and the biergartens. The Location is pretty good, fairly easy to find. I walked to see everything in Munich, but I don't mind walking. The subway was close by. The staff was nice and accommodating. The Breakfast was really good, plenty of options. The room was what I expected and very clean. I had a small balcony, which was nice. Quiet stay.
all reviews » Great breakfast and serving staff! Walking distance to U-bahn and Altstadt, even to the Hauptbahnhof. Restaurants nearby, or within a couple U-bahn stops. Very pleasant staff that spoke English (although we speak German as well), comfortable beds, hairdryer in bath. Really nice hotel, the room was better than expected, big with nice desk and chair - and balcony! The breakfast was also very good and the staff friendly and helpful. Very close to the university and restaurants. This hotel was incredibly charming. We had a spacious double room with a balcony for a very decent price. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The internet you have to get in 5 or 12 hour increments from the front desk. You can get as many as you like, so why bother? Taxis are not familiar with the hotel or the address. You have to tell them it's near Odeonsplatz. Bring a Card from the Hotel. Neighborhood a bit noisy - but typical of a large city and being so close to everything. Room faced west so could get warm on a hot day with no a/C. But for an older big city hotel, this is typical at this price point. Cooled off ok at night and keeping the shades drawn prevented afternoon sun from overheating the room. A bit old-fashioned design. It was a little too basic with no alarm clock or proper shampoo. 1° The car park is difficult to find, because not at the hotel place. 2° The size of the place for car is small. 3° And don't be afraid to go alone by night : it's at the -4 floor....Brrr.... Somewhat remote i.e. 4 long blocks from nearest tube station. 1- a bit expansive. 2- wifi is little slower. 3- Small size bed. 4- small size blanket. 5- check out time is not suitable. room is a little bit small. Uncomfortable desk chais in the room. Lack of air-conditioning. shower. No real soap. Funny towls Old elevator. The room 109 looks at the main road and is noisy, even with closed windows. Keep in mind there is no AC and it is hot even in September. The door to the bathroom is noisy as well and is just a step from the bed. Unfortunately the bed itself is not very comfortable. the bath and the furniture in the room. The cheating from you guys taht you show the wrong picture of the room so you make it more beautiful then it is. I am really upsetabout that. Too expensive for such bed rooms. We booked a double room. While night cheking in at reseption it was annonced that all hotel is booked and they have only single room. After a couple of minutes availible double room was also found, but for very expensive price which absolutely doesn't correspondent to this very simple and old hotel with poor breakfast. ı was not happy with my room.
