Although I had purchased the Bayern Ticket and did not use the guest card, it is still quite useful for those without a Bayern Ticket as the guest card allows visitors to take local buses for free. Very quiet at night as all the shops will be closed early in the evening.   The hotel is very close to the Hauptbahnhof which makes it wonderful for railers. The rooms were basic, but your just sleeping and showering there. The bathroom was a nice size as was the shower (im 6'1), and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pleantiful and good, views from the room were terrific (right on the river) and they let us keep ou... what people say » r guest cards for the day even after we checked out so we could finish our sight seeing, and then I just returned them later before we jumped on our t - The location is great, just across the train/bus station, so you will be thankful that you don't need to drag luggage up to the hills where most of the other hotels locate. The price (80 euro for a double room one night) is OK considering the taxi fare up to the hills saved. The room is very clean, bed is nice, though the rooms in annex building do not have elevators and shower/restroom a bit small yet very clean. The breakfast buffet is good. My family spent 2 wonderful weeks at Hotel Bärenstüberl during Xmas holidays.I Would highly recommed to visit this hotel due to the following reasons: 1.   This is one of the most wonderful guest houses I have ever seen. Everything is perfect. The staff is very friendly. There are welcome amenities: tea and coffee 24 hours, free wi-fi, a minibar with reasonable prices. We stayed in a room with a balcony - fantastic view. The restaurants and shops are within walking distance, although the hotel - Beautiful location, large room with balcony and large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Very clean and comfortable (Although beds too soft for our taste). Good breakfast in the mornings and bike hire available. We had no car but it was an easy walk from train station (half an hour flat walk along the river). They also gave us free bus pass which we didn't end up using on our stay but could be useful. Typical beergarden/restaurant in the local village (500m away).

  A nice comfortable apartment in a very beautiful location. It was very pleasant just to eat breakfast whilst looking at the view! A bus stop was right outside the door and free bus passes were provided, so we had 3 relaxing days of getting around without the car. Most local attractions eg. Brilliant location only 5 minutes from Bus and Train Station and 15 minutes up a large hill to town centre. Whatever it lacks is made up by the friendly and very hospitable Birgit Nagel who operates the guesthouse. We loved the atmosphere here.
