This was my third stay at Hotel Garni and they still remain my favorite place to stay in Bavaria. The location, rates, quality of food, service and overall friendly and warm atmosphere make this the best possible place. The Hotel is much nicer than many places costing twice as much especially when you consider the free, hotel wide wireless internet, parking and proximity to so many great things. all reviews »
I loved this hotel! My two sisters and I booked three rooms and each one was adorable, clean and very functional. Our rooms were spacious and the staff was very nice. I will definitely stay at this hotel again if I go to southern Germany. We had four children with us ages 4,6, 7, and 9 and there was a yard they could run in. The breakfast was excellent. The view from our room was amazing.A perfect quiet location with a superb breakfast where everyattention was paid to detail. The range and quality of the food onoffer is better than any other I have experienced in Europe. Thesuite, with its separate sitting room, is ideal after hard day in themountains. A real gem!. The mountain view behind the hotel is wonderful!! The room is clean and nice. Breakfast is variety and in good quality. The hotel staff was nice and also friendly with good English speaking. Even though the wifi Internet connection was not reaching our top floor apartment at first, we've helped and managed to configure the upstairs range expander and it is working smoothly now (the wireless Internet connection should really be OK now). Overall it had the peace and quiet we were looking for.Value for my money! The suites are almost perfect and the view from the room to the German Alps is priceless. The breakfast is excellent also and the staff is very friendly. The staff, room, and breakfasts were all fabulous. Very clean and comfortable. By rail: We would be happy to pick you up from the railway station in Mittenwald, and to drop you off here at the end of your stay.
By car: Follow the Munich motorway towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen. At the motorway's end in Oberau, continue along the B2 towards Mittenwald and follow the main roads towards the town centre ("Ortsmitte") and Innsbruck. Once in Innsbruckerstrasse you will find signposts to the hotel.
