Everything about Haus Schweigart was as perfect during this visit as it was when we first stayed there in August 2012. all reviews » This summer, we came to Haus Schweigart for the second time and we had a fantastic week – the best of our vacation. Karen was absolutely marvellous as we expected. She helped us with any touristic details and information about the region. The centre of town, Mama Lucia restaurant and REWE are very close. We enjoyed several excellent dinners at Mama Lucia – everything was delicious. Saltimbocca, pizza, cotoletta milanese and all anipasti are like in Rome. Mittenwald is a special Bavarian town, . The apartment is in a traditional Bavarian house yet is well appointed and there were stunning views of the mountains from the windows and balcony. Karin is a great host and always ready to answer queries. The house is a very short walk to lovely walks and close to the shops and restaurants in Mittenwald. We have stayed here several times and will surely return. We stayed at 10 hotels in our trip to Europe and by a wide margin this was the best hotel. Karen is an angel and she works hard to make sure you have a great stay. Her restaurant is fantastic and so nice to get personalized service. The house is lovely! Beautiful views from both balconies. Karin was so helpful in every way, including emails prior to our stay. A short walk to so many shops and cafes. And their Mama Lucia is #1 - great food and great service. Centrally located, very nicely maintained, friendly and helpful staff - Karen's great! You are within easy walking distance of the main shopping/dining areas, the chairlift, and the trails to the mountain lakes. Everything was good except small shower and no clean towels for the time we stayed here. I think they can give fresh towels everyday but sheets do not need to be changed every day. Thank you. Accomadation was top class and value for money. Location was great, just 2 min walk to the beautiful town of Mittenwald. Karin the owner was very helpfull and looked after us during our stay. My family and I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. The apartments are very neat and clean. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Mittenwald. An exceptionally kind and friendly atmosphere maintained by Karin, who really makes her best for her guests so that they feel they are staying with good friends. Good value too !. Not so much a dislike as a caution to others. If you plan on doing a lot of cooking you may find the facilities a bit lacking. The entire kitchen (range, fridge, prep area and sink) is only 48" wide (the sink is a single 9" wide sink, the fridge is an under the counter unit under the range, and the range is only 2 burners). It was fine for us as we only did breakfasts and snacks there, but if you were planning on cooking meals it's a bit limiting!. No clean towels. This is a must !!!. Having to leave and wish we could have stayed longer. Still searching. There was nothing we didn't like-everything was absolutely positive. Having to leave!. Nothing. We were very happy with the accommodation and with the helpful friendly manner of Karin the owner.
