If you want a clean modern room on a budget it was very good although if you are looking for a social aspect wouldn't recommend. - Good location, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Museum Insel, etc also U-Bahn station Bernauerstrasse. Room was not overlooking street, so in a quiet position looking onto a small, albeit scruffy, garden/courtyard.

The street location is at first sight unappealing but the hotel is very close to Prenzlauerberg, one of the nicest areas of Berlin. We loved the location. We stayed at the Lichener location and it was in the heart of a lot of action, but quiet due to the enclosed court yard. The neighborhood is very young and full of places to eat and hangout and is less touristy than some parts if Berlin. lt was also fairly close to a UB station. -
