Such a lovely hotel to have in such a beautifu - Great hotel. Really good breakfast in the morning. About a 10 minute walk from downtown and there are a few restaurants a little closer than that. Only about 8-10 minute drive to castle ticket office. And it's possible to get a mountain view room although we didn't have one. Great little terrace on the back porch to sit and drink wine (we brought our own) after a hard day of touring.

  We enjoyed very much our staying there at the Gastehous Kopf with charming hostesses Carmen and Martina. The quality-price ratio was brilliant! We had a well equipped kitchenett and we really enjoyed our cooking there. It took us about 20 min to get to the center of the town or the Railway Station by walk and for about 5 minutes to Forgensee lak... what people say » e. Walking (or hiking) is very popular at that place and we also enjoyed it. Very recommendate place - Super friendly staff. The receptionist gave us maps of the area and the attractions as soon as we arrived and explained tickets and parking around the castles. Nice breakfast option with great variety and fresh eggs. The room was not just clean, it was hospital, hygienic level clean! The bathroom and shower were a comfortable size. And the room even had a fully equipped kitchenette that we chose to use when we were tired of restaurant food.

Quite sizeble with a bed room, a kitchen, a bath with tube, a living room with balcony opposite the lake. covinent for parking, nice staff who told me that I can park in their chain restaurant in old town for free. - Situated perfectly with a nice view on mountains and Hopfen lake... what people say » . Easy to get there after exhausting day at Hohenschwangau castles. Free parking spot at the private territory. Having a dinner in a restaurant at the ground floor is a must to do. Rooms are very decent as well.

Breakfast was good - breads, cold cuts, cheeses, freshly boiled eggs, coffee, espresso, juice, tea. Bread was fresh from the bakery in town that morning. The small village location is fantastic, just north of the Bavarian castles and Fussen. There is a wonderful German restaurant 1 block away.
