  This small hotel is beautifuly located on the edge of Grainau village with stunning views of the mountans. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed a small balcony overlooking the garden. Breakfast was excellent although we were surprised to find several dogs in the breakfast room. They were well behaved though and we soon got used to them.   The owners of this Gästehaus are very friendly and accommodating! They were sure to greet you on every passing! The room was comfortable with a great view of the Zugspitze (not all rooms will have this view). It was a little bit out of the city (5-10min drive) but or the price, you can't really complain!   We had a great view of the mountains from our room and it is very close to the major ski areas. Our room, including the bathroom, was extrememly clean. I had plenty of hot water for a nice shower after skiing. There was a nice fire in the bar/lobby area with comfy couches for relaxing. The breakfast was great and the homemade raspberry jam was wond... what people say » erful. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. :) We hope to stay again. - The hostess spoke very good english and was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, as well as the view and surrounding area. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and cooked fresh (it was the best food that I had in Germany). There was not a single thing that we did not like about this hotel. It was excellent!
