It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. It was perfect for what I needed and walking distance from the village. I’d stay there again. It was a BandB setting in a quaint village of similar establishments, just a reasnable walk from Fussen.Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It's a nice boutique hotel, limited services but excellent breakfast buffet. Balcony was nice -- we'd made the hike/climb up Neuschwanstein earlier in the day, so I really enjoyed relaxing for a while before we headed downtown. The owners were exceptionally nice. We were nervous because it was our first time in Germany but they made us feel at home. Also, they gave us great tips on things to do in Fussen, it made our trip perfect.nice staff, rooms were an alpine feeling, an internet office area would have been helpful. the staff were really friendly, and the room is clean. nice room. nice staff. location! close enough to tthe old town, while being far away enough to be able to relax. But, its not too bad of a walk and is in a quiet location.Access by road is interesting -- it's very close to downtown yet still off the beaten path. Be sure to print a map or ask for directions. We didn't like the two single beds pushed together to create the illusion of a queen sized bed. My husband and I want to sleep and we cuddle in our sleep, so that was very uncomfortable for us. Our arms kept falling through the crack between the beds and hitting the side boards that held the seperate mattresses.It would be nice to have internet in the hotel if you don't bring your own PC. It's a little bit outside of Fussen, if you know the direction it'll be about 15 minute walk from train station and no bus connected, so when with luggage better to call a Taxi (about E5.40). As a single guest it was a bit off the beaten track, and its smaller size made it a bit tough with late night meals and entertainment. However, it was quiet, relaxing, and a nice hotel.The lack of English information printed.It would be easier for a foreign visitor if various information available in the hotel would also be available in English, not only in German....Actually this observation is applicable to the whole region, not only this hotel. Not really, being older, a bit nervous driving on narrow and small streets in and around the hotels. Perhaps I was more used to Canadian roadways. I would however go back.It would be nice to have internet in the hotel if you don't bring your own lap top. Awful pillows - small with hardly any filling.The room was somewhat cold, no possibility to switch on heating. This is barely a 2 star hotel priced very highly ,the staff wasunpolite, the receptionist asked us several times when do we leave thehotel, the maid at the restaurant made us change tables after we werealready sitten.The room was not heated although it was 2 degrees duringthe night. The bathroom fountains were leaking,The hotel is situated inan isolated place in fussen.i would not recommend !.
