The twin room was spacious, very clean, with comfortable beds and equipped with all the facilities a guest could possibly need. The service was excelent, very helpful and kind staff!. The people at the Hilton Koln are allways friendly and helpful. This is always good in a country outside of the US.Hotel is in a great central location, within a 5 minute walk of the walkplots aka shopping center.
all reviews » Dom, phantasia land. all. Friendly staff. Location - central and very near main station. Room service: I ordered a modest snack and it was wheeled in on a splendid table with a flower. Nice room (but see below). Every thing is fine expect the prices we pay more then other friends. The staff were all particuarly friendly and most efficient. It is one of the best in a city hotel I have ever seen.Room heating during cold summer nights (with outdoors temperature below 15'C) was not sufficient. The staff responded immediately and solved the problem by providing us with two electrical heating devices (radiators). Only one thing and this is the 2nd Hilton throughout Europe i have stayed at with a crazy shower situation. The showerhead wasn't fixed to the wall so you could use it freely which is great until you did need a fixed position on the showerhead you couldn't get it. We did stay but one night so there was no need to move rooms. Also the parking garage is a little confusing when departing.When I needed to check out and catch train I got stuck behind large crowd of people checking in. In a hotel this expensive this should be avoidable. A position for check-out only, perhaps? The room, though nice, was quite small. Parking Fee is a bit too expensive (26 euro per day). bed was too hard. Because of the Christmas Markets and then number of people in thecity... We were only able to check into our room after 5pm (and theywill still restocking the minibar at this time). The staff sent us on a wild goose chase for a laundry mat that was closed on Sunday, the day we were trying to use it. Also, we asked for a one hour extension on our checkout and they refused. Breakfast too expensive at 24 euro. no view. some of the staff spoke poor English. I found the dirty duster on my cosmetics bag last day, and it was really unpleasant.Did not like the mattress, you could feel the springs in your back. It was a little bit cold in the room.room was rather cols and apparently heating not sufficient...?!. Cost-benefit is high / Room space small for a five star hotel. I di not like the hotel charging me extra Euro 20 extra for each night for each room over and above the agreed reservqtion rate. Even that they have agreed not to do so, however at the time of check out they still charged me. I was pressed for time to catch the train and could not argue more to get them to cancell the unilateral extra charged (Euro 120/- in total). the allocated rooms were too small for a 5 star hotel, the hotel site say room size if 35 sq mt but was more like 20 sq mt, the requested connected rooms were not made available until I had to write to bookings.com customer service who spoke with the hotel and then allocated connected rooms but very small.The rooms are too small, and the restaurant overpriced. Also the rooms lack a bath.
