All in all, a very good experience, starting with the initial good-value booking for a central hotel/hostel at one of Berlin's busiest times; the pleasant, efficient and helpful staff; the interesting conversion of an historic building; through the comfort and cleanliness of the room and facilities including the 24-hour bar with simple food served all night, to the convenience of leaving luggage safe and securely for most of the day post check out. Highly recommended.
all reviews » I had the chance of meeting and talking with staff of the hostel. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was very big. There were three bunk beds in a room for four. The toilet and showing facilities were also excellent for a hostel. I was sick and it was comfortable staying in bed for a day to rest. I'd recommend this place to friends. The staff were all excellent, from reception to security and from house keeping to sean the awesome bar man, super friendly and nothing was ever a hassel, they go beyond the call of duty! Facilitys are extremely clean and new, highly recommened!. The hostel was beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful and even let us have a shower before our check in. The dorms were the most spacious and clean we've ever stayed in! Would definitely recommend and would stay again!. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here,centrally located,free excellent WiFi,very clean and comfy Room and facility's, friendly and helpful stuff. excellent place to stay located in city few mins walk from train station, lovely staff, and beautiful building :) and cost-vlaue too!!!. Due to the nature of the hostel/hotel, the corridors can be a tad noisy at night, though this was minimal I must add. The only other niggle was a drooping shower head, oh to have a screwdriver in hand luggage! Doubtless, if I had asked... While the hostel is situated close to a train station, it was not easy to find when I first got to the area. I'd recommend arriving at day time and having a good map to guide you there. The room had a television but it did not work. The location isn't ideal, it's not too far but a bit away from the main sights. Also it's in more of a residential area, but it felt very safe. We enjoy walking so the distance wasn't too bad for us. There is a station nearby for those who don't like walking. little confusing to find the way to the hotel. No "Do not disturb" labels The bed pillows No telephones in rooms. Members of groups were noisy and kept knocking on our door. Not much selection on dinner food. Said they don't serve Schnitzel anymore but it was still on the menu. I kind of felt like they just didn't feel like making it. The bunk beds are not conveineint for getting up suddenly. You must be aware about how to arrive to the hostel, because there are "TWO paralell streets with the same name", and the houses numbering along the street isn't logical. So, take a carefull looking to the map previously, and be sure you understood how to get there. The receptionist tried to keep the deposit for him. 10mins away from the public transportation. no towels in room (only rent for 2 euros a day). Far from metro. Loud roommates. Not the hostels fault, but could help with the room sharing culture. the location was very hard to find(hiding in a big residential area).What was worse, there were two men in my room who came back sooo late every night and brought a girl to enjoy one night stand!!!Such horrible roommates really made my stay in this hotel a nightmare experience!!!.
