The apartment was exactly as it was presented in the pictures and as was described by the owner. It was very clean and very quiet (it is located in a big street but doesn't overlook it). The location is perfect, the tram is 20m away and the Bahn station is 5 minutes walking distance, while at the same time you have countless small restaurants, bars and cafes right at your doorstep. The owner was very helpful, giving us instructions for everything we needed, from emailing transportation instruct.
all reviews » I'd say that everything is fine with this apartments (Karl Marx Allee 137). It's clean and quite cosy. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need and moreover there were some oil, tea bags, salt and sugar - it helps when you've just arrived :) Taxi driver lost in this district, he didn't know any word in English and Anne explained him by phone what's a place he needs to get to. Many thanks. Very nice apartment in a great location, surrounded by all kind of shops and easy access to alexanderplatz. The decoration is really good and kept simple and it feels warm and cosy during November in Berlin. Wifi working good, hot water 24/7 and it was quiet all day / night! We will visit again!. Great location, 5 minute walk to Alexanderplatz. The history of the street and area immediately surrounding the apartments is great. The u-BAHN is a 2 min walk away and a well stocked supermarket a few minutes round the corner. The cool berlin clubs (watergate/bergain) are a 10e taxi ride away. Everithing look just like the pictures. Nice staff. Huge, stylish apartment in a really great location. position was close to metro, very hot, big enough. High ceilings, cleanliness, meet and greet. Loved the apartment Location was perfect. Location is near Metro and city center. 5-10 minutes from Alexander Platz. The U-banh station was in front of the apartment. The apartment is quiet. Bear in mind that there is no elevator so, if you have knee problems, the stairs will give you a hard time. Otherwise it is a perfect apartment. The only disadvantage of this place is a distance. It is not far from city center and sights by metro but the cost of metro is quite sizeable. We were family of three person and it cost us a little bit more than 6€ per person for one-day ticket. Pay attention that tickets' automats in Berlin don't accept visa as well as a lot of food stores. The only thing missing is a refrigerator to keep the ice for our drinks (there is a rather small fridge of course). No iron!. The beds are a little hard and uncomfortable and there is no microwave, but these are just minor inconveniences. Difficult to find by car, espescially if you don't speak and German, otherwise no complaints. Just the steps, the apartment doesn`t have a lift. Altough it was supposed to be a non smoking place, it smells cigarette. We were on the 6th floor and the lift did not work for the first 2 days. The curtains did not block out any light, could do with some blackout curtains/blinds. Decoration dated....Ika furniture and I couldn't sleep because noise bed. Needs to be replaced. Also internet very bad..... very few cleaning for dishes, no battery for tv. Thin curtains so too much light at night. Internet access was appalling. All TV programs in German language. Pay cash. Internet connection was kinda buggy and obviously slow. Not recommended for someone who needs to work with it all day long. The kitchen had no pans whatsoever, which makes it hard to cook something good.
