Location of hotel is great; it is a short distance from the train station and just around the corner from downtown Verdun. We were able to walk to all the attractions in Verdun. This is a basic hotel but very clean and comfortable. Secure on-site parking is available for a small charge (and with reservations). We would stay here again. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were basic but clean and reasonably spacious. Breakfast was very reasonable and good value. Good location for accessing town and country and visiting WW1 historical sites.

This was a stop over, and that is all the hotel is really. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. Location was OK. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Nothing. Internet did not work. I was unable to get past a registration screen and the staff on duty couldn't figure out what was wrong. However, I was told they are in the process of improving the internet. Rather sparsely furnished rooms. Nothing really. Electrical sockets not positioned for easy recharging of battery operated devices, no electric kettle in room. Time limited free WiFi. Nothing. Front door was locked by 9:00 pm requiring a passcode to enter a side door. I wasn't given the code my first day; luckily staff in adjacent cafe helped me out. The room was a bit small as the double bed took up all the space. Wi-Fi was free, but limited to 2-hour sessions. Not a big problem altho every time one logged on again, it required viewing a 30-second commercial. breakfast isn't great but there are great patisseries over the road, parking is not free but very secure as its underground and locked up. Breakfast was very basic,little variety but functional, service was fine. dated insipid breakfast. One member of staff was unhelpful & terse. Nothing. Could not turn the heating off in room 14,even the plumber could not manage it. Better breakfast (I would accept higher price). Garage area needs better lighting and the access stair case area could be improved with some paint. Do not have any complaints, really. Rooms very small. Surly attitude from breakfast staff. (Reception staff helpful). On letsbookhotel.com parking costs 5,50 Euros. On the hotel they charge 6,00 Euros. Not a big deal but we should Know it from the site. Rooms were very basic indeed. No bedside cabinet, no carpets or rugs, small rooms. All a bit tatty round the edges. I wouldn't stay here again unless it is fully refurbished. Room was less than basic (even on French standards) and the bed was small and uncomfortable. The very unpleasant and rude behaviour of the front desk employee. The dirty courtyard one has to pass to reach the rooms. Rooms not very clean. One had to pay extra for the use of an extra towel.
