This upmarket B&B was a marvellous place to stay. My wife and I loved it. The lady who owns and runs it is charming and extremely helpful. She took enormous trouble to try to get is a taxi. Sunptuously decorated historical building with a lovely terrace overlooking the contryside. Huge bedrooms with good bathroom. It looks better than the images on-line! Elizabeth is a warm and excllent host who is helpful in every way. We were lucky to be there around the Bastille Day celebrations and enjoyed the village fireworks and entertainments.

Le Porche de Sarlat is located in the old city of Sarlat and private car parking is located just outside the wall. Alex the owner was waiting for us when we arrived and explained all the appliances within the apartment which was new with all modern appliances and cooking requirements. Its located in an old stone building dating from the 1500's with cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We thorough enjoyed the personalized service and hospitality offered by all the staff at De Lalande. The hostess Catherine was charming and a lovely lady. Nothing was too much trouble for her guests. The grounds were beautiful and whilst we had poor weather, in warmer weather the pool and terrace would be superb. The chateaux has been refurbished beautifully, tasteful and is comfortable. Can only recommend.

Lovely location on bank of the river. Very friendly, professional owners who were passionate about caring for their guests in an individual but unobtrusive way. Beautiful room, very stylish and personalised with a view of the river. Food was excellent - a real gourmet experience. -
