    Well Pascal made it for us. He was such a nice guy and great company, not that he intruded at all. We learned more about French culture and social life from Pascal than any guide book. Laurence, his wife, is just lovely too but we saw more of Pascal so that is why we are raving about him. Their place is supurb. Bergerac is a great place and a great base - We stayed for one night here on our way home from a holiday at this charming b&b and wish it was for longer. The room was enormous and restored to a very high level, the bed especially comfortable and shower fantastic. The whole house was full of character, peaceful and very conveniently located for the city centre.     We had the pleasure of staying at the Domaine de la Brugere for two nights in April. It was the best stop of our entire trip. Raphael and Patrick are the best hosts. This place is run like a well-oiled machine. Everything is flawless and yet Raphael and Patrick are very casual and friendly. We stayed in the suite which had an amazing bathroom with scenes reminiscent of the Garden of - Our hosts, Raphael and Patrick were wonderful, starting with our warm welcome, our pre-dinner drinks, beautiful dinner, post dinner drinks in the sitting room and our farewell. They were friendly and great company the whole time we were there although at the same time keeping their distance as well. The attention to detail was superb and we were all treated like royalty.     We could not fault anything about Chambres d'Hôtes Couleurs du Temps. Luc is a wonderful host, and nothing is too much trouble for him. He gave us excellent advice on where to eat and what to see in and around Perigueux. We had the front room, which is large and very well equipped with high quality fittings. Luc delivers a tray with your breakfast... what people say » each morning at your nominated time. You only have to ask for something and it will be included on the tray. The location is excellent, in a quiet st - Luc was a lovely host and was at pains to provide us information about the town and area. The room was comfortable and full of character. The house was within 10 minutes walk of this lovely town centre. Breakfast was delivered to the room and was basically anything we asked for. Own kitchen area to enable tea/coffee etc making at any time of day or night.

    This upmarket B&B was a marvellous place to stay. My wife and I loved it. The lady who owns and runs it is charming and extremely helpful. She took enormous trouble to try to get is a taxi. She has decorated the whole house in beautiful taste.Our room was the biggest we have ever had anywhere. The bed was comfortable. The breakfasts were good... what people say » . All in all, it was like staying in someone's home, not a B&B. - Sunptuously decorated historical building with a lovely terrace overlooking the contryside. Huge bedrooms with good bathroom. It looks better than the images on-line! Elizabeth is a warm and excllent host who is helpful in every way. We were lucky to be there around the Bastille Day celebrations and enjoyed the village fireworks and entertainments.

    My husband and I have just returned from 5 days/4 nights at Le Clos Lascazes and it was truly wonderful. The property, the setting, the surroundings, the location, the owners, the rooms, the facilities and the breakfast were all perfect. We went to all of the places that she recommended and tried each of the restaurants and she - Beautiful location in a quite countryside village. Very peaceful & tranquil setting yet close enough to easily reach popular tourist places in the area. Rooms were very tastefully furnished & extremely comfortable. Our hosts were superb, very friendly & helpful. Lovely breakfasts with homemade cakes & jams served every morning. Couldn't fault our stay. Hope to return.     George and Eduard were incredible hosts. From we the moment we drove up, we were made to feel very special. They helped us with our luggage, showed us to a beautiful room, ( with a fan!! A rarity and wonderful addition) , gave us a tour of the charming chateau and invited us to use the pool. We were not able to have dinner at the Chateaux given our site - If you like a luxurious night away in an enchanting chateau with beautiful service and friendly owners, you should stay here. My stay could not have been more pleasant, in all respects. The food was delicious and not overpriced. The service was excellent, from start to finish. The owner patiently answered my many questions before my stay. The staff arranges for a taxi to pick you up at the train station, so the fact that the chateau is a bit isolated does not make a difference at all. They have
