The location, friendly and helpful front desk staff, cleanliness of room. Conveniently located and quiet; staff helpful. the close proximity to La Gare du Nord. visited the sights in paris. As we took a triple room, we had a lot of space. The room was confortable. Location is good, near Gare du Nord. The elevator was pretty small, but worked OK. Friendly personnel, clean rooms, location is really near to the metro station and centre of the city.The location was great and price was ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The street is really noisy (cars, taxis, buses, motorbikes....). The photos in booking.com is the main thing which attracts people to book a hotel . Booking.com should concentrate more on this point . HOwever this site is great in all other aspects . That I had to pay upfront before even having seen the room...it was cold in the bathroom. Failure t pass on incoming email from our daughter. The single room was too small, however the front desk staff gave me the possibility to move to a larger room which was absolutley a better one . breakfast. Floor was on a slant, so woke up in the morning about a foot lower on the bed than where we started. tiny room, but really you are only sleeping in it. During check-in I was immediatelly required to pay for the whole period of stay. I three times attempted to pay with my Visa card, but it was not possible because of malfunction of hotel equipment.The room was very small. Noise. we are 2 person per room and we had just one towel per room. bathroom door did not have a latch which was a bit cumbersome as I was sharing a room. breakfast was not good. Room was quite small compared to the same price we stayed in much better places later.no power socket and hair dryer in the room. room smelt of urine. Curtain rail fell off and not repaird despite informing management it was broken. No toweles in room on one of the nights. Night manager advised me it was my problem not his. Stanadard of general decoration is low. no kettle so I cannot make coffee by myself, seems there is many dust on the floor and no slippery provide, need to wear shoes in the room all the time, the drawer is broken, the room door seems not secured enough, a bit noisy because the room is nearby the train station and many traffic around there.We didn't like the room, was very small, poor equipement, it all looks scruffy... We were actually shocked when we first came in... but somehow we survived those two days of our stay in there. I wouldn't pick this hotel again for any reason... But we should read other guests reviews and could avoid this.. that was our mistake... to much noise from personel!. The personel is rude.The neighbourhood is extremely dirty. Security.The curtain was broken, the room was smelling, bathroom is extremely small,it is not possible to wash your hands without problem,maintenance of the the hotel was poor. it was dirty and old. Room and Bathroom was so small. And very noisy (car sound, trash truck sound at early morning, ambulance sound, etc.) couldn't sleep with window open (no air-condition). .
