Great location 5 minutes from the entrance to the Louvre and Metro, and walking distance to many attractions right in the middle of Paris and safe at nights when walking around. Very friendly and helpful staff that spoke perfect English. The standard room (attic room at the top of the building) was small and we to move to superior room that was bigger and comfortable - fridge, a table with chair, big bathroom, good bed, and good Wi-Fi (ask the staff in the reception to help you connecting the f.
all reviews » The hotel is exactly what it claims to be. Nothing too flashy but clean, comfortable, well priced and in a great location. The staff were all friendly and spoke good English. We were only travelling for a weekend so had small, light bags and this hotel suited us well... if travelling with larger bags I would consider other options as the elevator is very small and is not accessible from the ground floor. Not recommend for disabled. There are stairs before you reach the desk and elevator and they are very dangerous and not safety. The elevator Is very very small. We were in an attic room, so right at the top of the building, and the water pressure suffered for it. The shower was more of a trickle than anything else, and the toilet had to be flushed at least twice after each use to get anything down. The staircase in this hotel is pretty out there but you get the hang of it pretty quickly. We had a small issue with our room, but the staff was quick to switch us at no additional cost. Very professional. Smell (of a kitchen?) in the rooms facing the inner courtyard. Steep stairs. Stairs are tough to navigate with luggage. Also, part of the charm, they are very steep and small making it very easy to fall. Stairs were difficult with the babycar. rugs were a little threadbare. There should be a warning to elderly couples with large suitcases. Stairways are treacherous. They didn't tell me about the cost of bar and I had to pay 15 euros for silly water!!ridiculous!!!!!. The stairs are a nightmare!! Don't know how the hotel has passed the safety inspections. They are really dangerous; you can loose your balance and fall very easily. There was a large hot water pipe, presumably serving the rest of the of the building, which passed right through my room (no. 15). As a result it was much too hot in the room - the only solution was to have the windows wide open all night. It was noisy outside so I didn't get much sleep. Lots of stairs to the room. Very small elevator no other facilities offered.
