Central for both Gare du Est and Nor. Very comfortable room. Large TV. excellent location, quality of rooms. it was a very hot evening and we were very glad of the air conditioning. the male receptionist when we checked in was very good, he had a wonderful sense of humour. Very rare in that industry. room was recently renovated; staff very friendly and helpful; quiet room.
all reviews » Ease of access from Gare du Nord. Friendly staff, comfortable beds. The room was very small b ut clean and new. The bathroom was new too,the tv wasb big, there was ac in the room and safety box.Hotel reception was helpful. Beds,room. The room was decorated in a modern style and was quiet - overlooking an inner courtyard. The staff were very helpful, lending an adaptor as the shaver socket did not take a British razor. Cleanliness, Location (Just next to La Chappell and 10 min walking distance to Gare De Nord, Good for Indian travellers as lot of food option available nearby.Room was nice. Room is clean. The reception. The room was refurbished. The fact that the rooms where new. The only convenient thing was closeness to the train station. comfy bed. absolutely NOTHING. Size of lift. Can only take two people with one case each.small lifts. the breakfast room was very small and the food was very basic.1) the building is currently being renovated, which at first glance makes the hotel seem a bit dodgy, but it's not! 2) the doors are very thin. The area is not very good but its close to bthe Gare Du NIord stationand there is a metro station just next to the hotel. Though pictures shown on website made it looked stylish, actually the real lobby looked pretty disused. The Euro 10 for breakfast was hugely overpriced. The hotel is undergoing renovation work with parts of the public areas unfinished. Our room was compact with a sliding glass door to the bathroom which did not slide and we had no hot water for the first evening. There was hot water the following morning. The lift was minute, only just room for a person and suitcase and contained a large bundle of laundry when we used it to leave.Lift was worst. I have not seen so small lift in my life earlier and it was very unsafe. We have to always carry our pram to second floor and backby stairs. Lighting arrangement outside our room door was Horrible. It was a dark corner where you cannot even see your room number. You have to stand in total dark for almost 10 seconds before lights gets on. The first room we were given was double booked - we walked in on people in there! Then the second room was also double booked - all his things were scattered around the room!. The construction which is going on. Yes, the toilet in the first room was very unclean. I was given another room, but it could have been cleaner. Also, there was no mattress cover on the bed, the bed sheet was simply pulled over the mattress.Yes, the telephone in the room was not working and the reception did not told us about this even though after we had to walk back down because the elevator is of a size of sardines tin, the breakfast lady was awful, as my wife was pregnant we ask for more pillows, which we had on our arrival day, and the next we ask if we could have more, instead they remove the two extras we had and it is only. Did not like our stay. Horrible area. Hotel under renovation. I felt bad for the staff and left prematurely.Poor facilities and cleaness. the hotel was in EXTREMELY POOR CONDITION. Very dirty. We had reservation for two rooms and were given keys for the second room with clear indication that would be ready in 15 minutes. We arrived at 11 pm (10 hours after check-in), we were able to access the room with the key given, however it was OCCUPIED by other guests!!!! spent 2 hours in reception and problem was not solved!!!!!!!!!. Very noisy work going on in hotel early in the morning on Sunday very noisy enviroment in the surrounding area. window did not close. noise from outside, noise from other rooms, internet was free but did not function in room, tv only 4 french channels, elevator to small for 2 persons, toilet so small you can not sit on toilet, breakfast exists of croissant or bread with cheese or ham, no parking nearby, bad neighbourhood.the cleaning lady. she stole some of my girlfriends clothes!!! lots of noise in the hotel.
