We were in a standard double room which was small but well appointed, clean, tidy, air-conditioned and comfortable. Bathroom was very smart and spotless. The hotel is on the edge of the pedestrianised town centre which is very convenient and a 10 minute walk maximum to basically everything like the Arene, Jardins de Fontaine and the train station etc. The hotel is positioned in a quiet corner for a good nights sleep.

As the name implies, it is centrally located to the wonderful Roman ruins in the city of Nimes. The hotel is good, the room was nice and clean. Very new. The stairs with a large suitcase are challenging and if you want to stay more than one or two nights you'll want a bigger room than the standard in order to unpack a bit. I liked absolutely everything. nothing. I was charged twice for a drink of perrier water. I paid cash, but it was put on my bill. The front of house staff seem to be over worked. The same member of staff seem to be there 24 hours of day. A little in personal service and no offer of help with luggage. The stairs up to the room are very steep. I accidently fell from a step outside my room as it wasn't clearly marked. The room was very small and at E500 per night very expensive. Nothing in particular, apart from that the room was small although we were aware of this when we booked. Difficult to reach by car, night staff did not speak any English (but they did put all their heart into trying). The room was small, with no space for luggage. Nothing!. There is no Lift, just stairs. Room a bit small but not really a big problems as we used it only to sleep. rooms were small. No wardrobe. Good location in city center but the reserved parking space is terrible for drivers (although staff is very friendly and helpful in guiding us to park!); we did not get the rooms as described to see Nimes' old rooftops. Unfortunately there was no lift in the hotel and we were staying on the third floor, which is not a happy prospect when you have quite a lot of luggage. There was no wardrobe in our room which was disappointing. Breakfast was so-so. One of three rooms (we traveled as a group) was on the 4th floor--with no elevator. The rooms were small. The hotel had no elavator and our room was at the third floor. Contrary to what was announced there is no parking with the hotel and you have to go to a nearby public parking (16 euros a night). Personnel lacks ideas and attitudes for achieving client satisfaction, which is a more common problem in Spanish hotels.
