The first impressions of the hotel was the receptionist whio was very pleasant and polite. She explained where we should go and see during our stay and pointed it all out on a map which she gave us. The room was spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. It was very private and you would have believed that we were the only ones staying there it was so quiet. My wife and i will definitely be back.

There is an exellent resturant in front of the hotel. The room was warm and comfortable with air conditioning in summer and heating in winter when we were there. This was especially appreciated as the weather was very unseasonal. The optional breakfast was not taken. The pleasure of Nice is stopping for coffee in the many cafes. Recently refurbish rooms are ok, near city center. Nice neighborhood good access. TV (LCD) with dvd player is a good idea. Nearby places to have breakfast (at reasonable prices ~6€), supermarket, near Promenade Englais.The lobby is excellent, and the staff is very helpful. Everything was excellent and I have travelled all over the world this past 30 yrs and can say that this hotel was excellent value for the money. It's a bit of a walk to the old part of Nice. But the hotel is located in a nice quiet part of town. The decor was slightly dark.I need strong reading lamps. The room did not have this. noise from other rooms audible. The morning breakfast could be more diversified, though we are not complaining about the food quality. no. The entrance steps --aout 10 of them , which was a nuisanace withluggage. There are no internet in the hotel. I mean to use Inet without my oun laptop. parking is a problem and there are no facilities for unloading luggage. Nothing really. I did not try the breakfast at the hotel as there were many great places to eat close by where we chose to eat instead.Size of the room It could have being bigger (but this did not effect our stay). handling luggage up and down the stairs, though on arrival there was a male staff member who helped carry our luggage up stairs to the lobby. I thought I was getting a room with a balcony as I had booked a privilege room. Room a little small, but thats Frnce i think. You'd have to pay through the nose to get big. air conditioning could have been better. a bit noisy, although it is smoke free there was occasional smoke in the hallway. Lack of parking. At breakfast, glasses were sometimes dirty.the elevator was smelling not very good. could hear people talking and showering in adjacient rooms. Not sufficient storage space for clothes in the room. A couple of comfortable chairs in the bedroom to watch TV and provision for tea or coffee making.Not a thing!. Could have done with some help with baggage when checking out. mini bar did not work. Room was a bit small. Woken in the early hours of the morning by rubbish bins being collected outside. decor of foyer. I asked for a taxi at departure date, but was transported in a private citizens auto.Hotel was lovely but avoid the "Sicilian" restaurant next door which is over priced and not very good. It appears to be entirely unconnected to the hotel's management. No parking in the hotel (although there was parking ~5 minutes walking) and it was not hard to find a place outside in a nearby street.I need keetle.
