The staff were nice friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the garden. The room was clean with a powerful shower. Quiet at night if the windows are closed and air con switched on. Location was good, only 10 mins walk from the port. Basically you get what you pay for here. Good for a budget traveller. This hotel chain has a seafarer's theme. Most of the things in the hotel are in a cheerfully blue colour. The lady at the breakfast corner was very enthusiastic in assisting non-French speaking customers. So was the evening male clerk at the reception.

We had cycles: they were stored away safely. Room was really basic and small. Clean enough, but it's hostel clean, not hotel clean. It was fine for two nights, but I would look elsewhere for longer stay. Far from the port and city center. 30 35 min walking distance. Rooms were small and our rooms window looks to a wall. While I may not speak flawless French, I understood enough of what they said to know that I won't be staying there again. In fact, I will never recommend their hotel to anyone I know who plans to visit Marseille. It's still a bit of a climb to return to the hotel from the metro/ bus. Price can be a little lower too. The bar was not open / available. It has not a frigobar in the room, staff don't speak English. I could hear the conversations of both neighbouring rooms. Also the sewage pipe from upstairs ran through my bathroom, which was both noisy and worrying. The Bathroom only had a slide door, so the other person in the room has to hear whatever you are doing. (Broken windshield and dinged hood). Was told they would pay for the new parts but still have to get an answer from the manager in Paris after 15 days. As for the hotel: it's in par with any other of the same class. A/C worked fine. Should be a bit more clean. And they have to renewate the hotel. Noise, cleanliness, bathroom. The piping in the toilet is so cheap that every time someone above you flushes, you think that something is happening right in your room. Walls are paper-thin and you hear both other people talking in the corridor and those snoring in the room next door. Same about the windows: stay in a room overlooking the street and enjoy listening to cars passing by all night.
