Excellent location, great apartment - clean, modern and enough space for 2 adults and baby. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no issues or complaints and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Excellent value and the little swimming pool an added bonus. Great position to walk into town for shops and restaurants. swimming pool and spa , self contained unit. very friendly staff. Perfect for the one night stay we had with a visiting friend.

At first look, we weren't sure how good the location was in relation to the town, but from the first time you walk into La Rochelle you see why - it really is a beautiful walk in with great views of the harbour. It takes about ten minutes but is worth it. The area is quiet (in summer anyway as the college is closed) and clean. La Rochelle is a great, thriving spot. The room was fine, I think the hotel may be used for college purposes as it had all the hallmarks of student accommodation. I would. Room was very clean and had everything you need for a few days self catering. They welcomed our dog as well. The breakfast was simple buttery nice. We considered the hotel clean and friendly. Garage use was excellent. Location was excellent. Swimming pool was small, but good. Apartment was clean. Location excellent. location was great for sightseeing. All except the bad point. Location, cleanliness. Liked the location, as it was just far away from the centre to be quiet. Wifi worked well. close to town. A balcony would have made it even better, but probably a lot more expensive. Reception is closed from 12.00 to 16.00. Sofa in the sitting room was inconveniently located. Breakfast was horrible and for 9 euro a total rip off. The reception was closed between 12-4 which sometimes made it tricky to be in contact with staff. But only a very SMALL thing. Sofa type bed. Sofa bed was slightly uncomfortable and premiumFrench tv channels were not supplied. Sofa bed as main bed. thought it was lightly expensive. swimming pool is very small. No indication was provided at the time of booking to indicate that reception would not be staffed. We were some time at the door waiting to be left in. The hotel should at least have phoned us to give us an access code. The room smelled of fish and curry and we realised that it was the extractor fan. But we didn't spend much time in the hotel and we only realised this after reception had closed (its only open 4pm- 8pm) The room is quite awkwardly designed. But for the price I guess its fine. The guy at reception was a bit 'no frills'...but again I think its the type the accommodation is. Double bed was a sofa, single bed was a put-up bed. Room too small. No instructions for equipment ie.micro-oven. No oven, no toaster. No balcony, no bar facilities as per advertised as a hotel. Swimming pool was for the use of keep fit fanatics, not for general use of children etc. In advertising it had an outside swimming pool, where was it. The apartment was tiny, and the bed was an uncomfortable sofa bed. There was also no air conditioning. Staff not present at all times. Beds could be better. Not cheap. airconditioning units were instaled in the building but did not function. at the time of our stay it was very hot. we had to open the windows for some relief, which wasnt great, but there was a building site next to the hotel and we were woken very early by the noise. in the flat rented, the sofa in the main room, once unfolded, does not allow access to the bathroom + WC of the apartment!!. Layout of room poor. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bedroom smelled of cigarettes. No one came to clean our room. Staff was abrupt. There were no pool towels, leaving us to use our limited room towels. Air conditioning did not work!. bed uncomfortable ,the booking stated cleaned daily,, room only cleaned once and at that not cleaned well, towels changed once over 7 days not good enough. No bed- folding sofa Bad internet No staff after 20:00 No pc/printer utilities Poor room cleaning.
