We've stayed at this hotel before when going to the south of France. Dijon itself is really really lovely with a big open square and lots of restaurants and bars and a pedestrianised main street. The hotel is 2 minutes from the centre and is beautiful with timber beams and a courtyard in the middle. We got a room for 4 for £80 (Junior suite) and it was very spacious with a separate seating area. Would definitely stay again.
all reviews » The breakfast is so good comparing with the price 6.50 euros for an adult, 3 for a kid. It includes breads, cereales, bacons, yogurt, cheese, fruits, cafe, tea, chocolate, milk, fruit juice... The hotel is very close to the city center & "parcours de la chouette". There are lot of restaurants (different favours & prices) in the neibourhood. Looked a bit down-at-heel on arrival, no air-con in a heatwave, young man at reception monosyllabic (we speak French). But room surprisingly cool at night (thick old walls), bed very comfortable with bedside lights you could actually read by, a fridge in the room - a godsend, and morning staff and breakfast choices excellent. The family room was fine for the one night we stayed there on our way south. At arrival the staff at reception we very help full with finding parking (garage 500 meter from hotel), lunch and dinner. Breakfast is fine. The location is fine and very close to the center of town. This is a sweet little hotel right in the middle of Dijon, close to many interesting attractions. Driving to the hotel, you suddenly come upon this huge cathedral (Saint Michel). There is also a pleasant courtyard in the middle. A nice change from chain hotels. The staff were superb and couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. The hotel was charming, reasonably priced and maintained to an excellent standard, spot on for an enjoyable break in this beautiful town. This hotel is housed in a 17th-century building , but the decoration is new and very classical. The hotel just beside Saint Michael Church , and every travel point just in 10 min walk . Friendly welcome by staff, most definetly returning some day soon. Great room rate in the centre of Dijon but don't tell everyone otherwise we wont get a room on our return. They did a great job of making very unique and comfortable rooms in an older building in the historic center of the city. Good service and the breakfast was great. Very friendly staff. The location is at the heart of Dijon - walking distance to the shops. The location was great, right in town. We asked about laundry and the staff there did our washing at no extra charge. One has to park on a narrow street or at the Place St. Michel (this is more open), but having to drag luggage — if one parks far away — is a hassle. We usually found parking very near the hotel, but no guarantee. It's an older hotel, which is only renovated with a lot of paint and simple but comfortable sanitary. The beakfast room was small and was busy at the time we went down so felt a bit enclosed. As expected from being located in the very city centre, might be a bit noisy (no problem with earplugs) Costly on street parking only or an underground car park that is a few blocks away. We would have loved a fridge to cool our drinks (it was very hot when we were there). Standard room also booked was quite compact and there was no air conditioning. Nothing to dislike. May be a bit noisy because of adjacent room doors. basic - but charming. The room was huge, but the entire hotel needs updating. We were in a room at the top of the hotel which only had a window that could open in the bathroom, and the room was extremely hot. They did supply a fan, but it wasn't really effective as the bedroom's were split into 2 and it was impossible to get it to cool down both sections. On-street parking only valid for 2 hours - approx 15 min walk to parking area (only cost Euro7 for 24 hours though). Parking was difficult. You can park outside if there is a free spot but only for 2 hours. We used a parking place just a few minutes walk. The shower head could not adjust higher than your knees. Poor external stairs. Bed uncomfortable Thin walls poor sound insulation Strong smell of cigarettes in non smoking rooms. Car parking far from hotel Very small room. the room we stayed in did not have air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open all night while loud partygoers were at the bar next to the hotel.
