The staff were great. They spoke English well and very helpful. My wife needed medical attention for a fractured arm and they were able to direct us to the appropriate medical facilities. On the morning of our departure, the young lady at the desk was kind enough to assist us in the process of trying to check in to our Air France flights - she was so patient! We found the rooms to be clean and spacious. And, although it was late May, we still found a need to warm up the room at night/early .
all reviews » The owner and all the staff were incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English. The breakfast was wonderful typical French fare, simple but delicious and lots of it. The ceiling in the breakfast room is superb, you are immersed in history and culture from the very start of your day. The location in the heart of the old quarter is fantastic. I can't think of anywhere else I would rather stay whilst in Dijon. If you want a 5 star luxury but bland chain hotel this is not the place for you, howeve. The service was the best from Sandy she is outstanding and her English was so good it certainly allowed for better comfort as my French was basic. It had a feminine touch the Hotel to which I really liked. It was excellent value for money an I felt safe. Important factor when travelling alone. The breakfast was fantastic and Dijon is a hidden secret. As you can tell I was pleasantly surprised. I must give a special thanks to Daisy on reception who went out of her way to accomodate us. We had just driven over 500 miles from London with our young twins and were all tired and hungry when we arrived. It's a lovely hotel with great staff in a brilliant location. I would highly recommend it. Location is excellent, right inside the old city core, and a 2 minute walk to Place de la Liberation. Staff is excellent. The rooms are small and the walls thin but easily overlooked for the great location, nice design of the rooms, and friendly staff. Would stay there again. The location was great - close enough to walk to everything and quiet. Being a small hotel, the staff were always available and were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was small but with a good selection of foods that were replenished often. The room was exactly as pictured. Reception staff was friendly offered to help us with the luggages. Location was good and easy access. Parking available at separate location easy to find. Reception also offered to print me a map from Dijon to Paris as my GPS was spoilt. Highly recommended. We were there on a Sunday and as everything was more or less shut, it would have been nice to make ourselves a cup of coffee in our room, a facility which wasn't on offer. No elevator. Parking is not ideal as it is a few blocks away. But it was safe and secure which was nice. Wish we could have stayed longer, but our schedule allowed only for an overnight stop in Dijon. The parking situation was a bit retarded, and the reconfigured roadways made it nearly impossible to get to with our out of date, but brand new gps. Shower temperature control wasn't great. The bathroom was rather small. No dislikes. Room size, insects in the bathroom. too warm in the room and needed to open the windows at night in order to sleep.... the street noise was impossible. even with earplugs. seems to be located across from a student center. There was nothing to complain. They deliver what they offer. nothing. We were on the 4th floor which would be difficult if you had heavy bags or young children. Electricity plug for phone charger near the bed was missing. No lift. No A/C. 18th Century buiding, narrow staircase, long haul with luggage to top floor!!. Nothing.
