I stayed here last summer and was impressed then, so returned with friends for a weekends shopping. Stayed two nights, great food, great staff, and great leisure facilities. Rooms comfortable and clean, plenty of on site parking. Only a mile from the City of Europe, it's an ideal place to stop if on a booze cruise, also if heading south as the A16 is on your doorstep (not too close that you're affected by noise).

Disappointed that,on arrival, we were allocated to a room for disabled persons, with no bath, just a shower with disabled fscilities (We are not disabled!) But, when we asked, we were offered a very nice room with bath and shoqwer, which we gladly accepted. The full English berakfast was just a buffet and it was barely warm. Fried egg was an option on the menu but only scrambled was available. we would have preferred an extra menua with more traditional food for those not keen on restaurant food - ie older kids/adults with a blander pallette.Having a wedding reception in the foyer!! Guests took all space and seemed to take over the hotel with typical wedding high spirits. Nothing about the hotel itself, but we have stayed here several times, and staff at reception desk have varied from smiling and friendly to unsmiling and uncommunicative.Most of the staff have very little English. It seemed that there were more British guests. So English speaking staff would be an advantage. room service breakfast arrived ontime but was cold. Dining Room was too hot making it an uncomfortable experience and the bar had no atmosphere in the evening. The entrance/reception area needs a good overhaul!. With the exchange rate is rather expensive. the bathroom needed a makeover, mouldy grout etc. no. Breakfast started at 6.30 on a weekday. That's too late.Food was below standard. It was like a cattle market in the morning and unpleasant.
