Arromanches is a great base of operations for exploring the Normandy Landing sites. With the remains of the Mulberry visible from the town, it sets the tone and peaks interest. The Mountbatten turned out to be a wonderful find. Free parking right in front of your room and an easy walk to nearby restaurants, services, and the museums. Don't let the "motel" look fool you...it's really very modern and comfortable. Sylvie is a wonderful host and very helpful. The Brasserie du 6 Juin, just a long bl.
all reviews » very beautiful hotel! The room is like a 'private' smsll apartment. Cleanliness is great. You have also a private parking, very useful during the day, when Arromanches is starting to become croudy. The breakfast was essential but really good. I want to come back to this hotel one day....Arromanches os a place full of history and with a particular atmosphere!. It was in an excellent location, really close to the beach & just a few minutes away from the town centre. The room was spotlessly clean & the bedding was changed daily. The breakfast provided was of excellent quality & was regularly replenished. The hotel was small but really personal so I would definitely return there again. Excellent location within a few minutes walk of the town centre and d- Day museums. Safe, on site car parking. Very helpful and attentive managment. Nothing was too much trouble. The owners also have a Creperie in the village which is a must. Excellent, quality and value for money. Spacious room and spotlessly clean. A really nice Motel style hotel which was an ideal stop off on the way to the Vendee. We had room 9 which is the family annex and it was comfortable and clean. The town is lovely and the host is really lovely. Breakfast is good too as other reviews have said it is not worth bothering with. Walking distance to beach. The motel was well kept and the rooms clean and neat. The breakfast was really good with a lovely selection of breads, with all sorts of toppings available (meat, cheese, honey, nutella and more), yoghurt, juice and more. Location is awesome... 1 min walk to the beach, Mulberry Harbour, museum, etc. Breakfast is included. Hotel host, Sylvie, is very helpful and lovely. Wifi is included. Room was clean. Staff don't speak english, but this is was not a real problem during our staying. I liked everything about my stay. We went in March during the worst snow storms the are had had for years. Consequently, many of the restaurants and shops were closed. Would suggest visiting a little later in the year when all the museums and attractions are open. They didn't have an iron in the room or one to borrow from the front desk. Traveling with 2 older children we were a little cramped in the family room, but we only used it at night. Didn't always have hot water for shower. Breakfast is good, but not a great deal of selection. Our room was freezing upon arrival... The heat had not been turned on in advance of our arrival, and took forever to heat up. nothing. The service was polite but impersonal. Difficult to fault!. Don't be put off by look of hotel.Looks basic from outside. car parking a bit tight!. Walls maybe abit thin to adjoining room. I had he impression that there had been some heavy smoking in the room which we tolerated. nothing. no chairs for sitting outside of room. Nothing really. room a little small. nothing. rooms look nothing like those in the photos. The double bed was very uncomfortable. Our guidebook said breakfast was included, but we were charged 72 Euros for two family breakfasts. We were also charged 4 euros to make one local phone call. I would have used my phone and paid $1.99 per min if I had known.
