The salons for relaxing and the dining / breakfast area we fou - Fabulous location and beautiful Chateaux which has been occupied by the family for many generations. Warm welcome from the hostess and later from the host who joined us for drinks in the library. Delightful dinner cooked especially for us as we were the only guests that evening but we were made to feel "en famille" and made most welcome.   This hotel was very different to most we have stayed at. It was uniquely special. We were effectively welcomed into the owners' home (which is a very grand castle) and treated as a member of their family for the duration of our stay. Wonderful, gourmet food which was plentiful and served by the very friendly staff. We also loved the free flowing drinks in the beautiful lounge area prior to our evening meal and met some lovely people at that time.   Arrived after a very long motorbike ride. The welcome was friendly rooms were great. has its own restaurant and bar so no need to go out for anything! Food excellent owner very helpful and good company! Had a glass or two with him after the meal. We could not have chosen a better hotel. Although on busy roundabout no road noise as double glazed. ... what people say » Do not be put off by slightly flaky exterior paint work this place is a diamond!! We plan to return in August on way to Southern France. - Just a simple hotel, good beds and linnen. Friendly staff. Bar open till late and drinks are very affordable. Unfortunately we did not have breakfast or lunch, so I can't tell about that. Menu looked good anyway.
