The Arbes hotel is located near the lush green Kinksy Gardens in central Prague, only a 5-minute walk from the Andel metro station. A tram stop can be found just around the corner. All rooms are elegantly equipped with new old-style furniture, a satellite LCD TV and a minibar. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. A lockable private car park is available in the hotel courtyard. The lobby bar is open from 09:00 until 02:00 in the morning and offers a wide choice of alcohol and soft drinks. The cosy wine-cellar restaurant serves an extensive buffet breakfast as well as Czech and international cuisine for groups upon request. The wine cellar can also be used for meetings. The Hotel Arbes is conveniently located near Arbes square on the border between the Smichov (Prague 5) and Mala Strana (Prague 1) districts, on the foot of Petrin hill and Prague Castle, close to the left bank of the Vltava river.

Good location - close to metro, trolley, and shopping mall with a Tesco for any grocery needs - plenty of small shops up and down the street - close enough to walk for 10 or 15 minutes to reach the Charles Bridge area. I wanted to stay in an older-style European hotel and this place was remodeled to fit that style very well. Nice breakfast in a tastefully redocorated wine cellar, with good fresh coffee and also fresh juice. Beautiful renovation in an old building. Spotlessly clean, big, flu.
all reviews » The staff of the hotel was very kind, especially the receptionists; Even if the hotel looks a bit old, the lunch room is very nice (and the buffet, during breakfast, was very good). Is not in the town center but in 15/20 minutes by walk (5 minutes by tram -the stop is just 300m far-) you can reach easier the main part of the town; the hotel is even in a quiet neighborhood and, near it, there are a supermarket and other facilities. The hotel is reasonably close to all the main areas of interest, so you don't have to drive much. It also has limited locked parking space, which is very good considered that the area in which is situated has narrow roads. Good facilities nearby, and a very helpful and friendly staff (which speaks very good english!) The hotel is old but overall very clean and it's fine for a leisure trip. Great location. 20 mins walk to the centre. Plenty of great pubs/bars in the area. Shopping mall around the corner. Comfortable, safe and close to all public transport and great to come back to after weaving through the crowds at busy tourist areas. Each part of the City and downtown can easily be reached. A more silent part of Praha. Receptionists are kind and helpful, can speak many languages (Czech, Slovak, Russian, Polish and English, as I heard). Ratio of the price and service, you get, is good. Andel underground station is only 3 minutes walk and there is also a shopping mall in the same street, next to underground station. Good location - 1 train stop from subway Andel. It takes 7 minutes to get MalaStranska square by train, 15 minutes walk to the city center. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good choice fo the money. Receptions girls are nice and responsive, breakfast is nice, quiet and spacey room. Excellent breakfast. Bathrooms felt a little squished, but not a big deal. Not many extra electrical outets for recharging a laptop, but good enough. The hotel needs a "refresh" (looks old) and, if you are not lucky, the view by the window will not give you a nice "landscape of Prague" (a side of the hotel looks on a parking area, totaly "close" by the buildings). We did not need air conditioned (Prague is fresh during the night) but not in the all rooms is available. The two drawbacks are: the curtains are very thin so light will flood the room early in the morning. the wifi was far too slow to be any useful (20 minutes to reftresh the mails), but there is a computer in the hall which works fine. Everything was great except for the shower. Minor thing really, but who wants to have a mirror staring at them when they wash, highlighting the effect that sampling the tasty beers on offer in the city has had on your body! :-). Location is somewhat far from the city center. It is at a walking distance but it takes you between 25 - 30 minutes to get to the main square. Breakfast could be more varied. the curtains and the bed throw might need a new replacement. What I strongly disliked were the mattress - 2 single mattresses on the double bed with no high frame to keep the mattress in place. She u happen to have a 5-10cm gap in the middle! Not comfy. -okay but not very varied breakfast. Internet access so slow. To improve: the shower could be dangerous for elderly, the people in the breakfast room could smile. Wifi was not so stable as wish. Breakfast is very simple. The room on the top floor is a little too hot for summer... I've been staying there fourth time, actually. And the first time I see not-working lamps and hairdryer, as well as some equipment that needs urgent repair. The restaurant lost some charm after renovation, the paper curtains on the tables is not a 3+ stars' style! Feels like breakfast in a cheap BB apartments. But anyway, I'll come back a least, one more time - maybe, all these minuses are accidental and will not happen again. there was nothing I disliked!!. very little free space in room. only one russian tv-channel. No coffee making fascilities in rooms. Quality of the breakfast food. So, so breakfast. No Aircon. Parking spaces are behind a closed gate next to the hotel, you are the one who needs to use the key to the chain, open & close it and it is a bit expensive. Staff does not have any word to You at breakfasts, they could improve a lot in service. Room is a bit warm during summer and there is only a ventillator to cool it down. Not great room. But it worths its money. Wi-fi is limited to the reception area, bad is separated, it's a time to renew room furnitures.
