  After a weekend of alcoholic debauchery in Brno, my girlfriend and me had a last stop at Prague before leaving home. And really, this was such a difference compared to what we've experienced in Brno. The stop was the Golden Star hotel, a home from home with friendly personnel who helped us immediately. Not unlike what we experienced in Brno. Since... what people say » we booked a deluxe suite (room 33), we had the comfort and luxury of a real appartment just next to the main tourist attractions. Sure, the climb up - We liked the location of the hotel - just below the Castle. It looks like an old building but nicely renovated. Cosy and romantic, with a lot of wooden and "golden" details. The breakfast room has a beautiful view to the Old town. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, kettle and tea/coffee in the room...We would be happy to stay at Golden Star again.

  The best about "The Art House" is the location. It's close to a Metro Station, Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and the Jewish Section. There are several Bar/Cafe downstairs which are nice and convenient. The management team arranged shuttle from the airport to the flat with us. The part-time young driver picked us up easily. He's well mannered... what people say » and can speak English and Russian very well. The check-in manager was patiently waiting for us in front of the building. You can find bakeries for br - Central location, very convenient for access to the Old Town, Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter. The management team were very helpful, we arrived a few hours early and we were able to access the apartment. Being picked up and taken back to the airport was a real help. The living/kitchen/bathroom area of the apartments were spacious but we found the bedroom rather small but did not detract from our break. We would certainly use The Art House again.

The staff spoke English well enough that they understood our requests. The room was very comfortable with wing back chairs for sitting, large desk and comfortable beds. Air conditioning which was needed in an attic room was great. Plus they just opened a top deck for eating with a view over Prague. A little refrig was perfect; Trams close by.
