We were able to check-out around 9pm to catch a midnight train as no one had booked for that night so that was handy.   We really loved this hotel. The staff was wonderful! Compared to other hotels in Europe, it was a great value! We paid for a room with a view and boy did we have a view. We were dead even with the clock tower! It was great!!! And we did NOT wake up at all through the night due to noise. The temp of the room was very comfortable.   My wife & I were pleasantly surprised at this small boutique hotel. It is located right in the middle of Prague's Old Town and close to Charles Bridge. All major attractions are within an easy walk (even for a pair of middle aged people). There are great restaurants right on the doorstep or again an easy walk to the square. Shopping is great! ... what people say » The room was spacious and as we were meeting our daughter in Prague - it provided privacy in a Family Suite. We would highly recommend the Aurus Hotel - The staff made Aurus. The girl on reception while we were there (Marina I think, 10th to 12th May) was absolutely brilliant. She was so helpful and seemed happy to help. It was a pleasure to deal with her. She deserves a big bonus as we'd recommend Aurus based on her welcoming and helpful nature! :) There was a little cleaning lady also who seemed very happy and nice.

  The charming hotel built in 1730 is extremely well located at the castle end of the famous Charles bridge just around the corner on a quiet side street. We had a huge 2 room suite with 2 fabulous king sized beds with luxurious linens, 9 foot ceilings with a frescoes ceiling in the living room and very old parquet floors throughout.
