Luca & his wife were quite lovely & the welcome was so nice. He was very attentive making interesting suggestions for things to do & very helpful for directions. Luca organised a boat trip for us in a boat he co owns which was a super day out both value wise and as an excursion. I have stayed in many hotels & lodgings around the world & this would be right there at the top. The small pool in the garden was a godsend on a hot day while the balconies were also excellent to rel.
all reviews » The staff were incredibly friendly! They couldn't do enough to help us. They advised us of where to eat good food in the cheaper areas and organised an island hopping cruise at a bargain price. The apartments were clean, nicely designed and functional with private balconies. Location was ideal with a supermarket next door, the harbour just a 5 min walk away and the old town a 20 minute walk or 5 min bus ride away. Buses stop right at the bottom of the hill the hotel sits on. The owners will hel. This was a treat nice for us, so it was a little bit of luxury even compared to our other nice hotels! Very professional and friendly staff, lovely room, very big and clean, and the modern shower was great fun! We didn't get round to using the pool but it looked nice, as did the outdoor seating area. Decent provision of things to cook light meals with if necessary. Good location in a quite area but also near to direct bus route to the old town, and a walk of less than half an hour to the bus st. Everything! I have travelled the world and have not found such a hotel before, the owner Luco was the best host ever, nothing was too much trouble, greeted with a smile & cold beer! great swimming pool(cleanest ever!) spotless room, lovely shady terrace, GO THERE! and be amazed & delighted, 5 min walk to boat excursions, loads of buses outside hotel. all staff brilliant, offer of service wash for small price. Cannot give enough praise !!!!!!!!!!. The couple who ran the apartments were very friendly and attentive. They helped with booking excursions, taxis and anything else we could possibly need. We were treated like house guests. The apartments were exactly as described. If we return to Dubrovnik we will definitely stay here again and we highly recommend Apartments Aura to anyone intending to visit Dubrovnik. - The Hosts Luka and co were very friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond to email queries. - Very new and modern rooms, nice shower and good size, nice decor and outside communal area. - 30 mins taxi to airport. short cheap bus ride to town 7mins, bus stop and taxi rank right outside. - Free Wifi worked well and fast. - good value for money. We had a very modern, well kept studio in a small apartment building where the owners have their own floor. It had aircon, satellite tv, cupboard type kitchen and balcony. Very convenient for Dubrovnik new harbour and local buses. It's in a quiet area, but close enough to amenities and the old town. The owners are very hospitable and helpful. We loved the location for us it was perfect as we were able to walk easily into the old city but the bus was conveniently located to take you anywhere in Dubrovnic . The apartment was very comfortable and Luca was a great host .We would recommend these apartments to anyone wishing to visit this wonderful city. Our stay was very enjoyable. Swimming pool is great after a hot day inside the city walls of Dubrovnik. The owners were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and nice design, quite calm and not far of the new port. NOTHING ! My best hotel experience ever, sad to leave, could have stayed for weeks. Will defo go back,. Nothing really. A little hard to find by car. We had some friendly locals who helped us, but just put your car on the parking of the Tommy supermarket. You'll see it from the parking. Nothing to do with the property or the owners, our neighbours were too young women who smoked heavily and spent the majority of their time on the shared balcony. This meant that as non smokers we kept our doors to the balcony closed and did not use this space because of the smell wafting into our room. We realise that outdoors in Europe it is acceptable to smoke anywhere but we found this unpleasant. Aircon/heating system was a bit noisy, so if you are light sleeper, you might want to use ear plugs.. Owner came in during absence and opened windows which I felt was a bit unsafe when I'd left documents there. Nothing. Found that we could have done with a little more kitchen equipment in particular a small sharp knife, washing up liquid, a frying pan and some sort of coffee maker. No beach close to Aura. You have to take a bus into the old city, but it's pretty simple. Nothing.  Hard to find  Small shower  Very thin walls, noisy. nothing. WiFi does not work in the room and through out the whole house. going home. Difficult to find at first Share balcony. Nothing. Hard to find when your not local... parking is really a problematic one. The owner is not sympathic and unpleasant. The walls are very thin, far of the old city (30minutes by walk), view on the neighbors... I can recommend this house but not for 90€ per night as we paid.
